Not sure.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall in every GM's/Scouting Meetings.  Would like to see how close Teams draft boards are.  You have your top picks that are pretty much consensus but outside, I would say top 8....how different are these evaluations?

Kobie Turner was 89th overall by the Rams late in Round 3 in 2023.

The Cowboys selected Mazi Smith in round 1.

There are no certainties in the draft.  And lots of variables impacting why teams will pass on who they do for another player.

Landing spot.  Fits.  Development.  Needs.  Metrics.  Traits.  Production.

We got to start hitting on the DL.  We have not had a true stud there in over a decade - peak Mario and Hughes.  Best DT since is Kyle?  Oliver?

If just 2 of Sanders, Jackson, and Walker hit.  My goodness.

FYI Sanders is same build as Turner same weight - Sanders is 2 inches taller.

@DrDawkinstein said something positive about a Bills draftee. He had better be careful lest he be branded with that scarlet H.

Goes great with my scarlet "A" so now my shirt just says "HA!"

How am I supposed to feel after watching this?

Looks like he got one great QB pressure and hit.

Seemed like the same pass rush every time. Arm rip and no second move.

Going up against a quality opponent but didn't seem like he had many 1:1 wins and no double teams.

I'm not disagreeing with you but in fairness it should be mentioned:

  • This was a 1 minute sampler, not a complete, condensed game.
  • By most accounts, Jackson had a strong game against Campbell.
  • QB was getting the ball out quickly... it looks like half the snaps were 3 steps and throw.

I think the tweet is inconclusive at best.

Personally, I can't really raise my excitement level above cautious optimism for the D-line. There are too many "ifs" to feel overly confident that the starting D-line won't be about as average as it was last season. But... what I do feel confidence in is the D-line rotation, which had been one of the hallmarks of a McDermott defense, and one of the keys to closing out games, and some of the fourth quarter comebacks of the Josh Allen/McD era.

The Bills D was paper thin last season, and at least at D-line, I feel pretty confident that this is going to be a pretty deep group.

OK, I do feel a little excited about how this line might pan out...

Agree

I like the depth and adding talent at DT, Edge, and Corner. You can even say they added a possibel big nickel S with the kid from Ohio State.

Would be nice to see Bosa,Solomon, and this kid play well enough to get rid of Epenesa. That said Epenesa made a few more plays last year than he did the year before. He and the rest of the DL disappeared against the Chiefs.

They are still thin at LB but at least 2 of the three (Bernard, Milano, Williams) stay healthy they should be ok. All three can play either LB spot if needed.

Yeah that's how I felt too. Lots of quick throws so hard to tell. I don't think he made an inside pass rush move the entire clip. No spin move.

Give him a year to learn from Bosa should help.

Bosa may be the most important offseason acquisition on defense.

I see three pressures on that clip. But equally I agree with you re his pass rush arsenal. It is under developed. Great rip move but not a ton else. He had a good game vs Campbell he won his battle that day but he still has areas for development without question.
