Now do one where we address Trump’s rhetoric towards the left. It’s nothing but divisive and incendiary, yet is he not the President for ALL Americans, not just Conservatives?

I mean, you got them calling him a fascist and nazi on a regular basis.  I think he's allowed to chirp back.

That is far worse than anything Trump has said.

They are not the President of the United States. He is not a commoner, he is not a talking head trying to get ratings, he is not a journalist. Should POTUS not be held to a different and higher set of standards than any other position in government, or the world???

He is supposed to be the leader of the free world, and his job is to be the great unifier of the UNITED states. All he does is sow division, throw gas on the fire, and vilify the left.

Its called taking the high road, when they punch low, you’re not supposed to punch lower, and that’s exactly what Trump does.

Well considering they came after him and tried to get him arrested, had his homes raided and two assassination attempt, I think he has every right to chirp back.

There is no unification with the Radical Left.  He doesn't need to be a punching bag.

Not all Dems but the loudest ones are incredibly disrespectful to him.

We find out in Minneapolis that a group of Muslims were stealing food from children and then bribed the Juror #52.

Then 50% of immigrants commit immigration fraud.

This is the state in which Tim Walz represents, goes after him all the time.  That state is nothing but a fraud state.  Its the state I grew up in and now it's an awful place.

Sorry, but there is nothing wrong with what Trump is doing.

Fetterman Torches Dems on Shutdown, Stuns Forum Crowd With Refusal to Call Political Opponents ‘Fascists’

Rusty Weiss

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) criticized Democrats for the ongoing Schumer Shutdown, accusing them of holding the government hostage while suggesting they are prioritizing their party's own interests over the best interests of the American people.

Fetterman made several comments during NewsNation’s live town hall at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday that demonstrate why he is considered a maverick among Democrats in the Senate.

“I follow country, then party,” he explained.

What a novel idea.

“You don’t hold the government hostage,” Fetterman added, noting that the Schumer shutdown is “what the Democratic Party wants to do.”

“I know and I love people who voted for President Trump. But they are not fascists, they’re not Nazis, they’re not trying to destroy the Constitution and those things," he insisted. "I refuse to call people Nazis or fascists. I would never compare anybody — anybody to Hitler.”

Isn't it remarkable that perfectly reasonable comments like this actually stand out in today's Democrat party?

I'm glad Fetterman's getting the help he needs. Having said that, it's clear he had no business running for the kind of job he was both mentally & physically unable to perform. The fact that his family, campaign, and the media knew and covered this up is horrific.

Lying about your status and abilities, the same as Rep. Santos did, should be condemned by everyone.

Again, it's fascinating that a poster could enter a political subforum, hop on a soapbox about tone and rhetoric...and completely ignore 8 years of political warfare waged against Trump (and Trump supporters) by the democrat party and its leadership.

Personally, I can understand  a discussion on Trump and the language he uses to describe opponents, and can understand how a supporter of democrat ideals might be perfectly comfortable with their leadership declaring certain voters deplorable and irredeemable and the like.  Some people can be completely blind to the issues with their sacred cows, so you point it out and move on.

But the door kicking, armed raids, the arrests on new and unusual charges, the complete acceptance that certain kinds of removing and holding classified documents is really pretty cool, but other scenarios result in a life sentence, the squeezing of people to attempt them to invent testimony to harm Trump....and implying by default that all represents no big deal, man, that's out there.

Me Too.

Mea culpa, Fetterman: I was wrong about the senator and his illness

By Glenn H. Reynolds

It’s time for me to do something that pundits seldom do: flat-out admit I was wrong.

This is a rarity in the commentating world. But boy, was I.

Here goes: I was wrong about Sen. John Fetterman.

Writing in The Post on Valentine’s Day 2023, I opined that Pennsylvania’s new US senator lacked the mental and physical abilities needed to serve.

According to reports, he couldn’t understand voices, had trouble walking and generally wasn’t up to the job.

The mainstream press rallied to protect him (there was a D next to his name, after all), but even a New York Times puff piece admitted that to Fetterman, voices sounded like the adults in the “Peanuts” cartoons — indecipherable noise — and that his health problems had left him with “physical impairment and serious mental health challenges.”

From all this, I concluded that Fetterman was just going to be a party tool — shepherded around by his staff, told how to vote by handlers, an institutionally pliable vote for the Democratic Party and the leftist activists who control it.

Basically, a Senate voting machine programmed by the apparatchiks.   Again: Boy, was I wrong

I would like to compliment you on that insightful comment to your cut-and-paste in the Fetterman 2.0 thread:

"Me too."
