Must be one hell of a plan.

I dislike Trump, and I dislike his approach to tariffs and the economy in general, but I'm looking for silver linings, one of which is hopefully less cheap plastic throwaway garbage from China. 1

I assume there will be some shortages of fish, apple juice, but probably mostly processed crap that isn't healthy anyways.

However, Americans were never "asked" to sacrifice. This is where Donald will run into problems. He presented the prize with no sacrifice, which is his way. Now, the sacrifice is being rammed down everyone's throats with zero, zilch, NO guarantees that it will work. I love the idea of moving manufacturing back and having America produce things for America and Americans. I try to live my life that way. Most of America does not. What America really didn't expect to have to deal with was their 401k's taking a bath. Wait till they can't get their plastic crap at Wally World. Tough times in the name of Donald. Big brother knows best, so kneel down and take your medicine. That's a hilarious perspective in America. Anyhoooo...I could give a F because I don't buy tons of ***** and I live out in the woods. I don't have tons of retirement money wrapped up in the markets...whatever 1 1 1

Of course, the lag time was about 50 years ... by the time of his death, you heard lots of people talking about how he started a lot of the deregulatory/de-inflationary things Reagan doubled down on. Trump's approval ratings is bound to improve by 2075.

The NWS trainer said there wouldn’t be one in the fall due to all the budget cuts.
The Frankish Reich Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Trump will want to back down on the tariff thing soon, but he's too stubborn to just delete the so-called "reciprocal tariffs." But he too will be overruled by forces beyond his control. The problem is even the threatened tariffs have already had a big impact on reordering world trade. Things are now baked into the cake. We see this in the shipping numbers, etc. I doubt we'll see COVID-style shortages, but we will see certain shortages of things people want and like, including crappy Chinese toys for Christmas and all kinds of other consumer items.

Only the lawyer isn’t citing job issues with the current work environment, though no surprise there. 😏 1
