The only way this could have been remotely acceptable is if it was an old dog who was suffering and needed to be put down. Even with that there are more humane ways!

In the country if a dog goes and attacks and kills someone's animals like chickens, cats, another dog, or chases deer then you can't trust the dog especially if it's a repeated offense . And if they are that aggressive you sure couldn't or at least I wouldn't trust that dog around a little kid either .

 

If I was the guy that had the chickens that this dog got you wouldn't have had to worry about this because it would have been dead, just like if a raccoon killed 1 of them .

btw, the dog would have likely been taken by a real bird dog hunter and given a second chance. Since you’re a country boy, you know even untrained bird dogs are costly

Thank you for explaining that there are reasons to put down a dog. I've lived in a city for about two years of my life. I think we all know that. Dim wits.

My dog did exactly what you describe, got out ran up the road and killed a bunch of chickens. The neighbor fired his gun to scarfs my dog away. When I went up to talk to him he said he didn't shoot the dog he was doing what does do. I think my neighbor is a stronger man with more common sense than you. 

It wouldn't have broke my heart if he shot him and I wouldn't blame him. The only reason I'm glad he didn't is I would have had to deal with 4 crying kids and wife. It would have saved me a lot of trouble otherwise. Don't ever sediment you know anything about me.

These guys are idiots, I don't think he knows. He's telling me reasons to put down a dog, all things her dog didn't do. Every time they post I begin to understand more who stupid someone would need to be to worship and support trump.

I would have done the same thing the first maybe 2 times I'm not just a kill first ask questions later person but if it continued after I talked to you then I would shoot it .

 

I have a redneck that moved into the neighborhood had a pit bull & 2 other dogs that he let Rome the hood & they use to come up to my other neighbors house and say his dogs food, one day the dogs came to my drive and growled at my family members 2 of which were my grand kids then they got into my garbage numerous times .

 

One day while out in my shop I heard terrible growling looked only to find the pit with my neighbors overly friendly dog pinned in his dog house tearing him up which I shot with my BB gun, a week later he got at the other dog a bigger husky and about tore his ear off & the dog was covered with blood .

 

I told the redneck if I catch your dog in mine or our other neighbors yard I will shoot your dog and leave him at the end of your drive way then I called animal control, but because he was a cop they did nothing until other neighbors called animal control then he got rid of the dog but still doesn't monitor the others .

 

So how do you or we know what circumstances were in Nomes situation just to spout off and call her a POS or a idiot or what ever derogatory statement comes to mind which is your first go to every time as it seems & you have proven  .

All reasonable scenarios.  I'd kill the pit bull if it did that.  this is not what noem's 14 mo old bird dog did.  she's a heartless B word.
