So if you decide to tear down one of your houses to build anew, you cannot begin the demo of the current house in a calendar efficient manner? Why the hell not? You’ve got another house you can live in.

Because Wes Moore is a democrat you felt the need to ride to his aid with this gem:

It’s not as easy as it sounds. You have to completely reroute shipping and arrange the proper equipment.

Simply changing the shipping routes would take months in advance to do.

No need to pretend you have knowledge of the situation when in reality you don’t know sh*t. Shipping routes into the Port of Baltimore…sigh. Just let it go.

Seems like you’re desperately trying to blame a democratic Governor for something completely out of his control. It’s okay, you’ll shake out of it one day.

15 months to only BEGIN the demolition of the remaining structure is absurd. Seems like you’re desperately trying to absolve a democratic Governor for something within his sphere of influence. It’s okay, you’ll shake out of it one day. Just don’t pretend to know what you’re talking about re: ship routes. It’s embarrassing.

Since it’s a matter of interstate transportation, surely our fearless President would be pushing for the bridge to be built faster. He should go see if Duffy wants to take a break from firing air traffic controllers.

You know, the original Francis Scott Key Bridge took 10–15 years to plan and another 5 years to build. Rebuilding it now isn’t a simple task - crews had to clear massive wreckage, navigate environmental reviews and federal permitting, and complete complex engineering prep. A design-build team was selected in late 2024, and full construction is expected to finish by late 2028. This 1.6-mile structure must meet standards for safety, ship clearance, and resilience. It’s not a quick fix - it’s a multi-billion-dollar, full-scale rebuild.

But let’s be real - facts don’t matter to you. You dragged this thread back from the dead just to use the bridge as a cheap distraction from the catastrophic failures of Trump 2.0, you being conned once again, and to smear a governor who’s actually doing the work simply because he’s black.

People see right through this garbage. It’s the same recycled outrage, fed by the same incel-driven fake news ecosystem designed to keep infected people like you completely divorced from reality.

Going in every direction imaginable now.

-Shipping routes need to be charted and that takes months (lol)

-How will ships dodge the “salvage” crews

-hope it’s not a Valdez situation

-American steel as directed by Biden is the reason for delay

-can’t get started until the entire plan is finalized

-governor is powerless

-Trump/Duffy/ATC

All because you wanted to seem an authority on a matter you knew nothing about. Great work.

You cannot start a construction timeline without having everything lined up.

Wait a second.  Are you SERIOUS that you can't begin DEMOLITION of a failed structure before you have "everything lined up?"

Wtf would you need to know exactly how the bridge will be rebuilt to begin the demolition?  Are you seriously planning on reusing the parts of the bridge that collapsed into the water?

That's gold, Jerry.  GOLD!!!!

Arguing with you lot does feel like that at times!

Add this to your knowledge of spy balloon deflation and you’ve got an engineering career ahead of you!

Only if you pretend the bridge was a tunnel.

https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-baltimore-sun-bids-on-outer-harbor-t/144152237/

Bridge plan dates to 1970. Construction started in 1972. Nice try. I especially liked “you know”. Brings an air of authority.

The classic half-assed gotcha - congrats, you proved that by 1970 the plan was finally official after nearly a decade of study, debate, and engineering prep. In the early 1960s, Maryland officially studied both tunnel and bridge alignments for a second Outer Harbor crossing. Early plans favored a tunnel, but escalating traffic volumes and capacity issues shifted focus. By the late 1960s, cost overruns and design limitations forced a reevaluation, leading to the approval of a four-lane bridge in the early 1970s.

So no, a bridge of this scale didn’t just go from idea to construction in two years. But cherry-picking a headline lets you pretend it did because you're not here for facts.

You're here smear a governor actually doing the job your cult leader never could. Try harder.

Another constructive conversation on PPP. Ideas being exchanged and minds being changed; all while acting like adults.  Glad to see it.

The MAGA spin on this one will be legendary. 😂

As our last president was fond of saying “come on, man”.
