So was Epstein.

When the big boys really want you ain't looking good my friend. Look at what is going on today, and btw, I doubt if Ghislaine Maxwell lasts much longer. Do you think she will live long enough to write a tell all book? I'm surprised they didn't get to her yet tbh.

Was Epstein passed around and raped like the post I was replying to implied? He was in isolation. So highly doubtful. I never said he couldn’t be killed.

Who cares about any of this.  If the scum eliminates the scum that is a net positive I believe.

All of this crap is a scourge on society as a whole.

Couldn’t agree more.

I’ll go with lesser charges, eat a modest sentence and quietly come out in 5-10

Zero shot. He's been working with the feds for years and they burned him anyway. He has no leverage. A US Attorney is currently over the moon that this fool played right into their hand.

Possible.  I'd guess if a plea is offered it will be favorable for him, then he ends up doing a portion of time, comes out still rich and alive.

Also no shot. They hit him with the RICO beef. Everything that was his is now the fed's:

Quote

To commit these crimes, Combs relied on his power as the leader of a multi-faceted business empire. Employees of Combs businesses — including high ranking supervisors, security staff, personal assistants, and household staff — acted as Combs’ intermediaries to, among other things, arrange travel and hotel rooms; stock the hotel rooms for Combs’ commercial sex activity; contact or locate women and other individuals whom he targeted for abuse; and conceal and cover up the abuse. This criminal concealment included efforts to prevent law enforcement from learning about his abuse.

That's fed speak for "Civil asset forfeiture order go brrrrrr"

He had 5 charges

1. Rico

2. Sex trafficking-2 counts

3. Transportation for prostitution 2 counts

Got off on all the serious charges and convicted of transportation of prostitution

I followed the trial and must say the defense did a great job poking holes in case to make sure there was reasonable doubt

He may end up with time served

He's still a scummy mofo, closet homosexual and overall bad person, but the prosecutor dropped the ball and the defense team made sure to do what was needed to make sure they couldn't convict.

Clearly someone in power wanted him to pay, and that probably brought this on, but let's be realistic, celebrities are doing all sorts of nasty ***** like this.

At the same time, I applaud the justice system, because there was definitely reasonable doubt on the rico and trafficking charges.  The transportation for prostitution is the only charge that should have stuck based on the trial

The defense called 0 witnesses and poked just enough holes in all the prosecutors witnesses.

Not saying it's right, but as Omar little said, the game is the game.

Money talks, and those lawyers did their jobs

My guess is that one of three things will happen:

1) He will ahem "commit suicide" in prison or be coincidently be murdered.

2) He will go to trial and buy his way into an aquittal.

3) His lawyers will tell him that he is sure to lose and he will talk and name names, and I do mean prominent names.

My guess is #2. He is said to have big time political and Hollywood connections.

What say you?

I think @Bill from NYC nailed it. Though not a full acquittal, but acquitted on the serious charges that carried mandatory minimums and convicted on the lesser charge.

the prosection recommending 51-60 months. I'm guessing the judge gives him less than that.

He may walk with time served or a lighter sentence than the prosecutor is recommending further reduced by good behavior, prison labor etc. In Florida you typically only serve 85% less work and other things prisoners can do to reduce time

The legal system is a fascinating machine when you really examine it.

If I'm him I get out and move overseas immediately. Thailand, for example.
