Also the free kickover on an onsides kick if the ball doesn't travel 5 yards in the NFL. Tough titty if it doesn't go 5 yards. You shouldn't get a re-do. Tuck rule one year, grasp rule another, this year it's the 5 yard bump and run... A fumble any other place that goes out of bounds goes to the team who had possession of the ball last. How is it that a team can fumble out of bounds, the D never even touches the ball, but there is a change of possesion? It takes away the ability for teams to ref themselves. Instead, they are forced to play that clutch/grab crap. Lets put it this way, if a guy tried to hold down bert, shoney would kick the crap out of him on the next shift. that guy won't tough perrault again. Now, its legal to do all that stuff. I've been saying this about the instigator rule for a while now, but i cannot seem to get to colin campbell quick enough. another "rule" is the part time ref thing in the nfl. In fact, they might be full time now, but i remember that there was a stink about the refs having real jobs during the week so it impaired their game prep. They have a nice little stadium where fans can pay something like 1000 yen to go watch and cheer the criminals hung on Saturdays. You get the big dog out, step up to the tee box, take a hack like Tiger, and sure as stevestojan........your ball goes 20 yds and doesn't make it past the women's tee. This is where the "Dick Out" rule comes into play. Section IV, rule 36B, paragraph 3. When any male playing from the white tees fails to hit his drive farther than the ladies tee box, he must finish the hole with his dick out. There is nothing worse than losing an OT game by a FG without a possesion by your offense... ...except losing an OT game when the opposing team returns the opening kick off for a TD!!!!! NHL: Eliminate 2 line off sides. NBA: Less freaking Time outs! Major League Baseball: Anyone coming out of the dugout or bullpen during a fight should be thrown out. Heck the NHL could deal with bench clearing brawls , why cant the babies of baseball do it? NCAA Baseball: Wood only bats! Poker: Yeah I know it's not a sport, but I would love to have the European rule of no talking at the table here in the States. Little League World Series: No batting gloves Please! Here is our starting lineup...errr, wait, no, we don't want that guy to hit, he sucks, so we'll have somebody hit for him. It takes all half the strategy out of games not to mention lets the pitchers throw at the opposing teams players with no recourse because he doesn't have to worry about being throw at himself. Once the AL starts playing real baseball maybe I'll have some respect for the league... Any rule put in simply so the kinda-sorta fans can enjoy more offense is an idiotic rule.
