Farmers in the Netherlands revolting against WEF emissions mandates

Recommended Posts

  • Big Blitz changed the title to Farmers in the Netherlands revolting against WEF emissions mandates

Well, you had here an interesting topic, and it should be worth discussing (especially for the Dutch people) if farmers should be required to reduce fertilizer use or livestock numbers. But then you could not help yourself and had to add the last quote:

So is Dutch Anon

With that quote, the credibility of your post went right down the drain. For one, they got their chemistry wrong. NO2 is really unstable, but is also very reactive and will be converted to a number of different nitrogen oxides, none of which are good for your health.

More importantly, do you really believe the TriState City conspiracy? Do you really believe a politician, as bad as they might be, imagines a Judge Dredd-like future? For whom do they build 30,000 square miles of ghetto?

I mean, it's real.

I was aware of that. The plan does not include bulldozing of existing structures and the building of ghettos. These are just imaginations of a conspiracy-afflicted mind.

Go farmers!

But I'm definitely on the police side in that incident. You can't drive your tractor into a police barricade and expect not to get shot at.

As per the tweet - is it true Germany produces 90% of the NO2 and the Dutch farmers very little?

From 2019:

As the Dutch government tries to comply with a court order to cut nitrogen pollution, (how democratic - but exactly why the left here lost its ***t over the SCOTUS EPA ruling) hundreds of angry farmers hit The Hague in protest.

The country’s highest administrative court in May said government rules for granting construction permits and farming activities that emit large amounts of nitrogen breach EU legislation. Up to 18,000 infrastructure and construction projects have as a result been stalled, including the opening of Lelystad Airport next year. The government is also being advised to cut speed limits to reduce pollution.

But most of the nitrogen that ends up in the environment comes from farms, and they’re being asked to bear the brunt of the costs. Tjeerd de Groot, an MP from the center-left coalition D66 party, proposed reducing nitrogen emissions by halving the country’s livestock population — cutting the number of pigs by 6 million and chickens by 50 million.

That and as they promised.....you will own nothing and be happy - they don't want us to consume anything remotely close to what we were pre Covid

Your grocery stores still being out of stuff - the shrinkflation on everything is not a coincidence.....this is what they want you to eat - especially since they want to kill all the chicken and pigs - we already know they don't want you to eat beef.  Fake beef only because Bill Gates said so:

In Sri Lanka....

WHY IS THE ECONOMY IN SUCH DIRE STRAITS?

Economists say the crisis stems from domestic factors such as years of mismanagement and corruption (sure)

The government owes $51 billion and is unable to make interest payments on its loans, let alone put a dent in the amount borrowed. Tourism, an important engine of economic growth, has sputtered because of the pandemic and concerns about safety after a spate of terror attacks. And its currency has collapsed by 80 percent, making imports more expensive and worsening inflation that is already out of control, with food costs rising 57%, according to official data.

"In April 2021, Rajapaksa suddenly banned imports of chemical fertilizers. The push for organic farming caught farmers by surprise and decimated staple rice crops, driving prices higher. To save on foreign exchange, imports of other items deemed to be luxuries also were banned. Meanwhile, the Ukraine war has pushed prices of food and oil higher. Inflation was near 40% and food prices were up nearly 60% in May."

I have no direct data on this, but I highly doubt it. First, in Europe (as in the US and most other places on Earth) gue to rotation of the Earth the predominant wind direction is west to east, favoring the transport of atmospheric gases from the Netherlands to Germany, not the other way around. Secondly, the Netherlands have a very high population density (nearly twice as high as Germany), leaving not much space for farming land. Thus, the agricultural areas are highly fertilized, producing nitrogen oxides.

I think you overinterpret the pic with the empty shelves in the grocery store. It is simply supposed to show you that the tractor blockade by the Dutch farmers is successful, nothing more.

Fear and compliance was needed post Brexit and Trump.  That included from all the corporations they've co-opted - especially the Wild West internet that lost them narrative control.

So the CCP, DNC, and the Global lunatics brought you Covid to get it.

More control.  More power.  One great big commie utopia.

And Western Civilization is in free fall.

A Popular Uprising Against the Elites Has Gone Global:

A popular uprising of working-class people against the elites and their values is underway—and it’s crossing the globe.

There is a growing resistance by the middle and lower classes against what Rob Henderson has coined the “luxury beliefs” of the elites, as everyday folks realize the harm it causes them and their communities.

There were early glimmerings last February, when the Canadian Trucker Convoy pitched working class truck drivers against a “laptop class” demanding ever more restrictive COVID-19 policies. You saw it as well in the victory of Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, who ran on parents’ rights in education and went on to win both suburbs and rural areas. You can see it in the growing support of Hispanic voters for a Republican Party, which increasingly identifies as anti-woke, and pro-working class. And now we’re seeing the latest iteration in the Netherlands in the form of a farmer’s protest against new environmental rulings that will ruin them.

Over 30,000 Dutch farmers have risen in protest against the government in the wake of new nitrogen limits that require farmers to radically curb their nitrogen emissions by up to 70 percent in the next eight years. It would require farmers to use less fertilizer and even to reduce the number of their livestock. While large farming companies have the means to hypothetically meet these goals and can switch to non-nitrogen-based fertilizers, it is impossible for smaller, often family-owned farms. The new environmental regulations are so extreme that they would force many to shutter, including people whose families have been farming for three or four generations. In protest, farmers have been blockading streets and refusing to deliver their products to supermarket chains. It’s been leading to serious shortages of eggs and milk, among other food items.
