Proud American.

Presumably of Italian descent.

My first guess when You said "Hospitality" was Al Capone. But it's a woman.

"When I sell liquor, they call it bootlegging. When my patrons serve it on silver trays on Lake Shore Drive, they call it hospitality." ~Al Capone

How did she die?

Umm, technically that would be your 2nd guess, but as you figured out that Capone wasn't a woman, will say you didn't serve that one up.

How did she die?  Was she old or young at death...??

AFAIK, she died of natural causes in her 80's.  She died at home.

Mecca really threw me off...but it all fits. We'll never get this if it's not her.
