225 cases. 0 deaths in my county.

One of them isn't wrong, IMO.

Edit: 226 cases.

That's what the problem is here.  Every county in the country once had a couple hundred cases of covid-19 and 0 deaths.

By the time this disease actually flares up and starts hospitalizing and killing people, it's too late for any but the most stringent measures

If people would just realize that the disease does not, in fact, stop at their county line, and be willing to take a handful of measures, we could do what most of the rest of the world has done - shut this down.

Instead we have a bunch of wailing tantrums "How dare you try to limit my Church Revival meeting!  How dare you interfere with my bar!  How dare you ask me to wear a mask in public?".  So now we're back to stacking bodies in refrigerator trucks and putting patients in hotels in some parts of the country that didn't have much of a problem a month and a half ago.

Please link a credible article (not fear porn) where we're stacking bodies in refrigerator trucks again. Thanks.

Why don't you give us your list of "credible" sources.

No thanks. I just Googled and found no recent articles. I guess any would suffice at this point.

I noticed two other things.

Your bias is showing.

What occurred a month and a half ago? I'm relatively certain that you participated in one.

I doubt any “credible” sources exist for this poster. Maybe PJMedia and other alt right sources, but that’s it. There are several reports out Texas and Arizona, by both local and national outlets alike, referencing requests made by government officials for refrigerator trucks to help with overflow conditions in local morgues. Just like we saw in NYC a few months ago.

That’s not “fear porn”, just simple reports on the conditions on the ground in some locations. But hell, we are a thousand miles away so it just can’t be real.

Requested and as yet not used. Thanks for being able to find an article.

Google “refrigerator trucks Texas Arizona” yourself.

I had Googled "Covid refrigerator trucks". When did you become an irrational poster who thinks anyone right of center is alt right?

Question for both of you. If someone had less than six months to live with lunch cancer and died with Covid, what did they die from?

You refer to articles by legitimate news sources as “fear porn” and I’m irrational?  Let me guess, anything reported by “main stream media” will not suffice as a credible source, right?

But on the off chance I’m wrong, here’s an article from the Fort-Worth Star Telegram. It ain’t fear porn, it’s a service to their local readership about conditions greatly important to that constituency.

Read better. I accepted that trucks had been requested. I was asking for no MSNBC, Vox, Huffpo.

I guess you would value Breitbart, ConservativeTreehouse or Fox News at face value?

Edit: My original Google was "stacking bodies in refrigerated trucks" and only old stories came up.

And yes. Citing cases constantly without talking about positivity and mortality rates, having skewed positivity test percentages that are later proven totally false is fear porn.

Read better? I saw no references to MSNBC, Vox, or Huffington Post in any posts of yours I read. If you mentioned them previously, fine, but I didn’t see them and I’m not about to go fishing for every post of yours in this thread.

I don’t consider Breitbart, Conservative Treehouse, or Fox News as legitimate news organizations. They are strictly op-Ed and hold no journalistic credentials or standards. Have they run any reports on the requests by red state officials for refrigerator trucks to meet overflow demands from local morgues? I strongly doubt it. And we all understand why.

You're correct. I didn't list sites so you're right. I wouldn't post any of the sites I listed in this thread for the reason you mentioned. Fox does report legitimate news sometimes, but they lost trust the same way that CNN and MSNBC have for all of their partisan bs.

I ask this again because this is fundamental difference for me.

Did someone with 6 months left to live die from lung cancer or from Covid? That's where my issue lies with the entire thing. It's why I am waiting till year end to admit I'm wrong. I need to see the growth rate of all deaths at year end. I see the data on who's dying. It's sad. I still have my theory on the worth of adding deaths by despair and destroying businesses (families) to save those who were on their way out.

Because as we all know most people who have corona virus that die also have terminal lung cancer.

How many of those death scenarios do you imagine comprise the 135K+ deaths to this point? Are you seeking to legitimize the idea that it’s just not as bad as we think? Good luck with that.

But that isn’t the crux of it; it’s the potential for our health care system to be overwhelmed as happened in Italy, China, NYC a few months ago and as is happening now in Houston, Montgomery, AL, Miami Dade and other areas.
