She was known for more than being a silent movie actress. Like I said, she was a pioneer of sorts and immortalized, but not in the sense one would think.

 

Semblances of her are permanent and numerous in N.Y.C. and elsewhere.

 

She did what no other actress did in film that wasn't underground.
