They actually have a good passing game that their coaching staff insists on underusing to make some obtuse point by running the ball. No matter how bad you are, UB will find your level and play down to it, and yet somehow manage to win. Awesome pic and a win is a win! Did you know this is know an official MAC rivalry game with a trophy? Game #1 of flagship cup! And yes Victor Snow and Nik McMillan is a great MAC 1-2 receiving option Both WNY boys! Quote

They never stopped reminding people about the Flagship Cup during the game. Unfortunately, no one remembered to actually create an actual Flagship Cup. 🤣 Pro tip. If you go to a UMass game, spring for the $17 buffet. It's open from 90 minutes before the game until halftime. 1 Quote

DeepPass Posted October 20 Posted October 20 UB was incredibly LUCKY to win their last 2 games. I don't think this years team can reach 6 wins for a bowl bid! 1 Quote

They have another tomato can game Saturday vs Akron. Assuming they don't play down again that's win #5. I think they can get one more in the last 4 to be bowl eligible. The typical UB ground attack that is really strong isn't this year. But the passing game is very good. They should lean into it more. Edited October 24 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote

Yeah they want to play grind it out football.. but they just aren't getting the push upfront consistently With the wide receiver core we have... They need to air it out 1 Quote

dollars 2 donuts Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Gentlemen, 6-3 is very doable. After that...it is a little dicey. However, later is for later. This has still be a fun season and time to go for 5. Quote

DeepPass Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Losing to Akron a 2-6 team shows how weak the Bulls really are. By blitzing the UB clown at QB he couldn't complete long passes which are his specialty. Four (4) interceptions tell the story. Good Bye Bowl week!!! 1 Quote

So the MAC being the MAC, UB goes to Bowling Green and gives them a beat down 28-3. 🤷♂️ But in the process LB Red Murdoch broke the NCAA record for career forced fumbles held by..... Khalil Mack! Leading to the occasional klunker of a game on the gridiron? 🤔😁 1 Quote

Leading to the occasional klunker of a game on the gridiron? 🤔😁 No the biggest thing that makes the Mac so funky is that it has the closest talent Gap in the country in a conference In the Big 12 or big 10 or even the Sun belt there's a bigger disparity from the top and the bottom The Mac has basically even level athletes all across the board.. they are all recruiting the same kids.. if you look at Mac recruiting, if a kid has One Mac scholarship, he's probably got offers to 6 mac schools Nobody's bringing in a higher caliber recruit than the other, it typically take something look like getting a Khalil Mack to pop out of nowhere So games literally come down to in-game coaching adjustments and weekly game planning... The talent level on the field is really really close whether you're a three-win team or a 7 win team 2 Quote
