Well look at him now....Congrats Jordan Poyer.(who happens to be my Bronco loving bosses favorite Bills player) This is also why the Browns are 1-31. They have a talent like Poyer and let him walk.

MTBill Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Aaron who? I think this backfield has to be a credit to McDermott (and/or Whaley). Recognized what was available - and knew what they were doing. We don't have the "greatest" safety duo that the NYJ have (according to some in the media)... But we didn't spend two 1st round picks either, and have an amazing secondary - when paired with White/Gaines. The Defense isn't perfect yet (obviously) - but it's improved quite a bit. Kudos to Poyer. Totally a snub for the pro-bowl.

It appears there was a ton of input from the asst coaches if you look at who was brought in. This is not to say that Whaley and his team had nothing to do with scouting them, of course.
