Brandon
That's an excellent signing. Holcomb is the guy I wanted them to sign to backup Losman. He's good enough to be a short term starter, yet he doesn't have the ego that a longtime starter might and shouldn't be a lockerroom problem. BillsGuyInMalta
I'm shocked...I was expecting a backup like Shane Matthews, not an actually starting QB.
BillsGuyInMalta
Well so much for ESPN's report that we only had 600,000 bucks to play with.
ajzepp
Nope. http://www.buffalobills.com/ 263336 It may not seem like it, but that's a huge signing
Alaska Darin
Best possible backup available. Hands down.
BF_in_Indiana
It's a good signing and goes along with what I said the other day about what I expected the Bills to do in FA. They will fill some minor spots and hopefully replace Jonas. We won't sign a big free agent this year, but the ones we sign will help our depth. BillsGuyInMalta
Best possible backup available. Hands down. 263343 Definitely. I didnt even consider him because I assumed he'd go to a team with a chance to start. If we get that Shelton trade now, our offseason is pretty damn good. LabattBlue
WOW....I didn't expect backup QB to be the priority signing. I know Holcomb has had some big games in the past and am surprised he is willing to come here where he will be a #2 from the get go.
Bear
Best possible backup available. Hands down. 263343 I agree. I'm really surprised by this...and I love it! I think Holcomb could be a starter under the right circumstances. 1 need down.

Mark VI
Well, I just posted my lack of understanding for a QB who can't move well but he's an experienced backup. Seems the Bills would have to change the playbook for him. If that's what the Bills want, I'm behind them and certainly trust the judgement of Clements,Wyche and Mularkey. He has tons of experience. Another need filled.

The playbook will be the same one we ran with Bledsoe (they'll simply add plays to take advantage of JP's mobility); unlike Bledsoe, Holcomb won't be afraid to throw short- and intermediate- routes.
