Kraig Urbik cut (update - signed with Miami)

Recommended Posts

Urbik and Boobie we both garbage IMO and have been for some time. It doesn't matter how many positions you play if you play them all poorly. We're a run first team and Urbik can't run block. Boobie was a cool dude but he dropped off drastically last year.

I guess they are counting on Miller....he didn't bring in last year.....Urbik was better than him. But, whaley is grasping to solve his cap problem...and he can get younger guys cheaper, I guess. Vet minimums end careers, I think, for backup/marginal players. thats OK.....the bills still have big problems on the O line........only Wood is stable imho. Everything else in play.....

stupid move

There were days i was thankful Urbik was in there. because the option was worse. i have no reason to believe that has changed

unless you have no one else to replace him ! Think Levitre and Charles Rhienbottom Sr the 3rd

Chaz Reihngold is available just sayin

Thats not his name. You people are a mess.

Its Chuck Rarebuttocks

i just translated it from Charles Rhienbottom Sr the 3rd. Which is his name in Svengalian. World traveller you know.

Erik Pears? he's a young 33!

Why am I not shocked? Getting upset over a marginally talented expendable player who can easily be replaced. Gimme a break!

as already pointed he is able to play 3 positions, and he has been through at least two blocking schemes here and shown capable.

even if he is not great, some times it takes the right combo to achieve proper chemistry. i'd rather have him than not.

again to 26, Bills have had poor luck replacing ANYONE on the line as far as i can tell.

a matter of fact lets list them...

Incognito is the only FA we've brought in to succeed.

Urbik was second.

Third...Langston Walker?

not an easy exercise is it ? and not pleasant.

Bills O line have struggled for years

We have seen multiple QBs get destroyed and then ruined.

Of course there must be others out there who could protect our QB And get to the second level for our RBs.

But Bills have trouble finding them.

Lets also consider the ones we have already overpaid and even extended who were awful or became injured quickly and became a sunk cost.

Finally we get a fellow who just proved himself and now we question his worth, his health , his attitude.

Fans around here are pretty twisted up sometimes

let the chips fall whee they may.

But I seriously think Cogs would be an asset+ next to Glenn till we brought up another.

because you would normally just renegotiate, not cut, if there was a number both sides like. it would be odd if we frequently cut and resigned guys.

Sometimes do that to have cap spare and after signings and restructures bring player back if still available. if Incognito is not resigned they may contact him as a swing guard.

Oh and lets not forget, Richie was once a Bill and allowed to leave. how we doin'

Only Chester Rosenblat can make up for losing Keith Urban.

good point. i remember him like it was yesterday. We used to hit on old ladies for fun

True enough. i loathe this thinking btw. its real but i do not care much for it

Bills have also signed a number of Steelers' linemen.

yes. lets name them for fun and amusement shall we? i have been waiting for this part of the show honestly. Lets name all the guards Buffalo has had since say Andy

i just started looking and was noticing tackles

people forget how bad these o lines were.

my point is obviously, those who complain about an Urbik's 1.9m or who do not realize Glenn has been with Bills since drafted, Cogs who stepped in and then up have helped the team this past year become what we might hope the could be. look at the right side of the line and think about poor little Tyrod. Imagine if the whole line just sucked again.

@tydunne

Sounds like #Bills guard Kraig Urbik is on his way out. Started 57 games in Buffalo since joining team in 2010.

@mikerodak

Bills appear to be releasing veteran OL Kraig Urbik. Saves them $1.75M against 2016 cap. Avoids $300k roster bonus.

need coin for Richie
