Buffalo wins on the road in Washington. The Bills truly qualify as a desperate football team, and we expect the defense to show up. Last week, Rex Ryan's defense allowed the Eagles to convert 50 percent of their third downs. They will have to contain Kirk Cousins, who has been brilliant at home. In case you're wondering, Cousins has been steady on third down for the most part, tossing eight touchdowns against five interceptions. Last week, he killed the Bears on pro football's most important down, posting an exemplary 143.1 passer rating in those situations. As for Buffalo, Tyrod Taylor needs to use his mobility again, especially if he doesn't go through all of his reads. And instead of meekly running to his locker, sans handshakes, maybe LeSean McCoy can humbly run for 125 yards. That would be nice work. #BUFvsWAS

Only looked at ESPN and while I thought maybe a few more people would pick us that's very close to the pick distribution I was expecting. We may be a little better but it's the Redskins' last home game and they may be a little bit more motivated as they have a much better shot at getting into the playoffs.

@DonBanks

Week 15 is upset week in the NFL. I've got Panthers, Cardinals losing on the road. Read all about it, my NFL picks: http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/12/18/nfl-week-15-picks-tv-schedule-panthers-giants

The Bills have proven themselves just good enough to lose close this season, and Washington has largely shown itself capable of defending its home turf. I’m rolling with the home teams in the NFC East playoff chase this week, so I might as well keep right on rolling. Buffalo and former NFC East running back LeSean “Nothing to Say’ McCoy has already lost to the Giants and the Eagles this season, and now he gets a shot at Washington and Dallas in the next two weeks.

Week 15 predictions
Can Buffalo keep its hopes alive?

The Bills stay alive in the playoff race if they win this game, but despite Buffalo sharing a 6-7 record with Washington, the two teams appear headed in opposite directions. Will the Redskins dash the Bills' postseason dreams?

BUFFALO AT WASHINGTON

Buffalo Bills: The Bills stay alive in the playoff race if they win this game, but despite Buffalo sharing a 6-7 record with Washington, the two teams appear headed in opposite directions. The Redskins are making a late push for the NFC East title, while there was a feeling of deflation in the Bills' locker room this week after their loss to the Eagles. Playing their fifth road game in the past six weeks, the Bills might not have several starters on offense (Charles Clay, Seantrel Henderson) and defense (Mario Williams, Nigel Bradham, Bacarri Rambo) because of injury. It's a tough spot.

Redskins 21, Bills 14. -- Mike Rodak

Washington Redskins: The Redskins are 0-5 this season after a win, but they conquered one obstacle last week (winning on the road) and hope to post consecutive wins for the first time since Oct. 19-27 last season. The Bills’ defense has a reputation for being excellent, but they rank 17th or below in eight key statistical categories (and 15th in points allowed). The danger for Washington is stopping quarterback Tyrod Taylor and receiver Sammy Watkins on the deep ball. That could be an issue, but the Redskins will find a way to survive.

Redskins 20, Bills 19. -- John Keim
