Nihilarian Posted November 21, 2015 Share Posted November 21, 2015 What a lot of Bills fan might not know is that Thurman Thomas was around 75% of the Bills offense in those glory days, and the Bills usually ran more every year then they passed the ball. Jim Kelly and the K gun offense with the no huddle is what everyone remembers but the real hero was Thurman running the ball so well, and equally dangerous out of the backfield catching the ball. Just to show exactly how dangerous he was out of the backfield catching passes. In a playoff loss to Cleveland in 1989 Thomas had 13 receptions for 150 yards, and two TD's. Thomas is still the only player in NFL history to lead the league in yards from scrimmage for four straight years. Both are great RB's in their own right.
