There is NO evidence that the Pats bugged other teams locker rooms. I do realize that the intensity level of Pats hating on this board now more or less matches that of Bills fandom, but jeez. justnzane Posted August 21, 2015 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Dave trusting Rodney Harrison with anything incriminating against his former teams is like trusting Mike Tyson with human cartilage. Based on being caught cheating twice in the last decade in a systemic way, I'd be inclined to err on the side of caution. Besides, hiding mics/cameras in the walls, vents, etc... is not that hard. That is how the creeps and gov't get away with snooping on unsuspecting people. As I said before, I was under the understanding of Spygate that the spying took part with video equipment on the field, audio bugging of the coaches, and hacking into the other teams' audio equipment. Do you want to go on public record as saying you believe the Patriots would not do this versus Peyton Manning? Do you want to believe Rodney Harrison over Peyton Manning? I understand that people throw around accusations that sometimes aren't true but seriously, without finding smoking gun guilt, which is never going to happen, which do you truly believe, Dave McBride, is MORE likely to have happened, the Patriots were completely innocent of this and Manning was way paranoid for no good reason because there was no proof, or the Patriots likely bugged the locker room and Manning was being prudent to not speak inside it. I think it may have happened, but I also think that Manning is a supremely paranoid player (most perfectionists at the top of a dog-eat-dog profession are) and he may well have been overreacting. I don't know the answer to that, and neither do you. In my mind, both explanations are equally plausible. I found what Harrison said about playing a basic cover 2 to make perfect sense. That's my memory of those games, actually, and he's right about Manning calling the plays at the line based on what he sees. Like you can believe anything Rodney Harrison says. I doubt very much Manning said anything on the record about it. First I heard of it was 2010 when Peter King said it. I havent read any articles in the last couple days about it, just say a headline and a few posts from people here. So I don't even know what they are specifically talking about right now. In 2010, King said... I've always heard, reliably, that the Colts never trusted that they were totally alone in the Colts' locker room in Foxboro, and that when Manning had something of strategic significance to say to offensive coordinator Tom Moore, they both stepped outside into the concourse outside the locker room. So if you're outside the locker room Sunday, don't be surprised to see Manning and his first-year coordinator, Christensen, huddling for a few minutes. To me I have no idea and surely no proof they did anything. This is an old story. Just ever since "Just give it to 'em" I hav e been suspicious and don't trust them. They seem to always be looking to blame the Pats for subterfuge even when the Pats kick their collective asses repeatedly. Their owner is a joke too. I get the dislike of the Pats - I really do - but my god I'm tired of the Colts whining about everything. Recall that they whined and cried about defensive holding in the 2003 AFC championship game, implying that it was somehow the Pats' fault that the officials weren't calling defensive holding on every play.
