4 reasons Bills D won't miss a beat without Dareus vs Colts

Recommended Posts

Sorry, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Why we won't miss out pro-bowl anchor?

Try again

it doesn't say "won't miss" - it says "won't miss a beat." Meaning they are predicting the Bills defensive coaches and players will find a way to make up for his production in that game - they will just really need to work hard to do so. They will have their work cut out for them for sure, but it's possible.

Rex Ryan is a brilliant defensive mind, and it's why he gets paid the big bucks.

we are about to give the guy 100m because you don't replace his talent with hard work and creativity, you only hope to minimize the drop as much as possible. We will miss beats but hopefully the colts won't capitalize on them....

It's ok to admit it's a loss and a big loss. We still have a very good team.... but by comparison Rex isn't getting the big bucks, MD is about to get them.

Lucks fattens ups stats vs bad teams (6 games vs. jags, titans and texans) but went 0-4 playing Denver, Pittsburgh, Ravens and Pats. (being outscored by over 20 points a game). Stop kissing his ass and start bringing the blitz.........he may burn you 50% of time but you will crush him the other 50%.

Miss or miss a beat, it's still nuts to think that it won't affect the team. If it were that easy, then we should just trade him now.

It doesn't say it would be easy, it clearly states the opposite, and it's just one game. I think that's the whole point of the article. It doesn't say they wouldn't miss a beat for the rest of time. So the "just trade him then" is really extreme. Not sure if you read the article and are just going by the headline, which is fine, but it's just a prediction, and the article content isn't ridicuous.

People want to rationalize his absence like it won't matter that much but it will. The guy is the best player on the team, his absence is huge. You just hope they can overcome it.

^^^ This ^^^

However, Buffalo has 3 other DLmen capable of double digit sack seasons. They can still make the Colts pick their poison on who to block. Plus, we know Rex Ryan is going to bring the blitz from unknown places. Make no mistake. Luck will be running for his life. I have a hunch Luck won't know what hit him.

McCoy and Mario may have something to say about the best player, but yeah he's outstanding and Discounting the impact of him collapsing the pocket and disrupt the passing game is selling him short. His lack of prescience will be noticed.

Mario has a good case but as much as I like McCoy there's a reason datura is about to sign a contract paying him a good 80% more. McCoy may be the bigger star but MD is the rare talent between the two.

Between Fleener, Johnson, TY, and the rest of that offense, we should be good and screwed by halftime... Luck has a gun, and a host of reliable targets to hit with it... Us winning this game whould be nothing short of miraculous.

Rex and Carrington, Charles, etc. can be the key. Not only will Rex have more time to prepare, but the "backup", whoever that is, will have additional time to prepare. Can't wait to be at this game!!

Also, The Colts will have more time to prepare.
