Revis: Pats offer was nowhere near Jets

Recommended Posts

The Jets signed Revis a feew hours after they were legally allowed to talk to him. Naturally, the leaguw is looking into how that was possible without the Jets negotiating before that time.

His 39 million is fully guranteed (even for injury) and front loaded in the first 3 years of the contract. Given his injury history, age and mercenary nature, it's a poor decision on Woody's part. But that's the main problem with the Jets. OWner can't find competent help.

I think he was signed almost 6 hours after FA started. How long do negotiations need to take for them to be legit?

It could have been as easy as:

"Hey, Darrelle, how much would it take for you to become a Jet again"?

"How about a 5-year deal for $70M and $39M guaranteed?"

"You got it! Sign here."

Now fine the Pats for #deflategate

CBF

fine(s) AND suspensions

Fine them for what, again? I don't remember that.

flagrant abuse of the NFL rules.

do we really need to list them all?

IMO deflategate is about being the team with the fewest fumbles immediately after you champion the rule change for each team to control their own balls circa 2006.
