An Added Topic for Negotiations with Iran

Recommended Posts

When the current administration's negotiations team meets with their Iranian counterparts, the US members might make mention of Iran's call for the assassination of Netanyahu's children; possibly use it as an illustration of human rights at their Iranian finest...?

How did POTUS disguise his ignorance of foreign policy, his absence of support for our allies and his crippling tunnel vision through two election cycles?

Sail on, Oh ship of State.

'

The same way he convinced everyone that he intended to help poor minorities, not make things worse for them: by having everyone around him yell "racist" whenever any voice of dissent was heard.

Pelosi warns Netanyahu: Speech to Congress will hurt Iran talks. .................Nancy, that's not a "bug" of the speech, but a "feature"

The nuclear talks are a fraud. Pelosi knows that, but she doesn’t mind.............................. She just objects to it being made apparent.

.

IT DOES SEEM THAT WAY: White House Unhinged Over Netanyahu Speech.

UPDATE: From the comments:

Let’s hope the speech kills the talks.

The outline of a potential deal has long been clear:

Iran pretends they don’t have a nuclear weapon program.

And we pretend to believe them.

Yeah, pretty much.

Oh please, Obama's foreign policy hasn't filled our VA's with crippled vets and record numbers of GI suicides. And now the GOP pushing another Bush forward who will probably have W's foreign policy geniuses in charge again. No thanks!

Wow. From zero to Bush in less than 90 minutes. That's a record even for a nutsucking Obama-loving statist like yourself.

Well done, Skippy. Give yourself a Scooby snack.

What is the age group of the majority of suicides? Oh that's right 70% are over 50 so maybe some of that has to do with the ****ty care they're getting from the VA. Or maybe that's because many of them served during the Clinton years. So should we blame him too?

Did you get that stat from Hannity or Rush?

But a serious question for you. Dont you think the War for Waepons of Mass Destruction kind of made the casualties from that war take precedence over the smoldering mental issues of older vets?

What smoldering mental issues? How do you know why older vets were committing suicide at a much greater rate than younger ones? Or are you just making **** up again?

Are you arguing that the vets committing suicide don't have mental health issues? Duh! That sounds like something an idiot like LABlitz would write Edited by gatorman

Let me rephrase that. You don't know what the cause of those mental issues where. As they age those mental issues may have very little or nothing to do with the fact they are vets. Also some suicides, as I already mentioned, may have to do with the ****ty care they've been getting at the VA. But go ahead blame it on Bush if it give you a chubby.

Media "Blows" Coverage Of Menendez Iran Sanctions Delay

The announcement that Senate Democrats were delaying a bill imposing new sanctions on Iran was described by the media as a victory for the President. Headlines blared, "Menendez Changes His Tune," or "Menendez steps back from fight with Obama over Iran," to give the impression that the New Jersey Democrat was pulling away from pressing Obama over his Iranian Negotiations. In actuality the opposite is true. Menendez's move delays the vote, but does not change when new sanctions would take place, it places a deadline on the Administration, and along the way it picks up Democratic support for imposing sanctions should a "framework" not be reached by the March deadline already imposed by Iran and U.S. agreement.

A letter sent by ten Senators of the President's own party not only put more pressure on Obama but indicated the Senate had around 64 of the 67 votes needed to override an Obama veto on new sanctions.

In acknowledgement of your concern regarding congressional action on legislation at this moment, we will not vote for this legislation on the Senate floor before March 24," Menendez wrote, "After March 24, we will only vote for this legislation on the Senate floor if Iran fails to reach agreement on a political framework that addresses all parameters of a comprehensive agreement."

President Obama: 'Iran Has Not Advanced Its Nuclear Program'

President Obama hasn't forgotten about Iran. Amidst an uprising of a domestic agenda, the President reminds us his foreign policies are worth talking about too.

In an interview with NPR, the President sat down to talk about a variety of issues, one being the status of Iran and if he plans on liberating Iran like he plans to with Cuba.

“If we can get a deal on making sure that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon — and that deal is possible; we know the terms of what that would look like,” he said. “If we can take that big first step, then my hope would be that that would serve as the basis for us trying to improve relations over time.”

{snip}

Now, he says to CNN's Candy Crowley, “you look at an example like Iran, over the last year and a half, since we began negotiations with them, that's probably the first year and a half in which Iran has not advanced its nuclear program in the last decade.”

This just in: The Koch brothers aren't running for President. However, they are doing everything possible to put the country back in a position of respect internationally, and imbue national policies with the common sense that appears to have served us well lo these many years...well, OK, not the past six years.
