It takes 2 weeks to adjust to altitude. Sometimes more. It's fine for mental prep but overall a useless physiological endeavor.

@ChrisBrownBills

Love how the Broncos pump up the altitude right outside the visitors locker room. #Bills #strategery

CB Graham eager to face Manning again

Appearing on the John Murphy Show this week, Corey Graham was asked by the Bills play-by-play man about the 2012 Divisional playoff victory by the Baltimore Ravens over the home standing Denver Broncos in overtime that propelled the Ravens to the Super Bowl where they won their second NFL title.

Murphy thought it might be Graham’s most memorable victory. Graham said it’s not even the most memorable game against the Broncos. He’s still smarting from the 2013 season opener against the Broncos, when as the defending Super Bowl champs they were embarrassed by Denver.

Bills have leadership for December games

They’ve played in meaningful December games before. Heck they’ve played in meaningful January games before. That’s the main reason why players like Corey Graham, Brandon Spikes and Boobie Dixon were signed by Buffalo in the offseason. With players that haven’t experienced being in true playoff contention on this roster, the Bills added veteran players capable of showing the way. Now they hope in the biggest December game for Buffalo in 10 years that the experience pays dividends.

The Buffalo Bills will take part in something that they haven’t in quite a few years: a meaningful game in December with playoff implications. Two straight wins has put the Bills in a six-way tie for the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC with just four games to play.

The schedule hasn’t done many favors for the Bills, saving three of the toughest opponents they’ll face in 2014 for the last month of the season. The first of those three will be the Denver Broncos — the team Buffalo is up against on Sunday.

How do the teams match up? Some things to watch for:

Broncos-Bills: Three Keys

It will be up to Virgil Green and the Broncos' offensive line to keep the Bills' formidable pass rush at bay Sunday.

Bills offense up for the challenge in Denver

While the Bills defense ranks as one of the NFL's best units, the offense faces the daunting prospect of having to keep pace with the Broncos in Denver.

Jekyll & Hyde for Denver ‘D’ inside their 30

The Broncos defense is a top 10 unit in several key categories like total defense, run defense, pass defense and third down defense. But something happens when opponents crack Denver’s 30-yard line and their ability to stop teams takes a turn for the worse.

Once opponents are inside the Broncos’ 30, Denver gives up touchdowns at a rate of almost 59 percent, the third-highest rate in the NFL (58.7%). That’s more than 10 percent above the league average (47.9%).
