Orton wary of Chiefs aggressive ‘D’

The Kansas City Chiefs boast a defense that ranks second in points allowed and third in sacks and fifth overall. Bills QB Kyle Orton has a healthy amount of respect for what the Chiefs defense is capable of after watching their game tape this week.

“They play great, clean defense,” Orton said. “Obviously the corners, the secondary plays aggressively. The quarterback doesn’t have a ton of time to hold on to the ball obviously with the edge rushers. The linebackers do a great job of being physical with the halfbacks, not giving easy throws to the halfbacks and they play an aggressive style of defense. We’re going to have our work cut out for us.”

Buffalo Bills: A Closer Look

The Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) travel to take on the Buffalo Bills (5-3) Sunday afternoon.

"We look forward to the challenge of playing the Buffalo Bills,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “We know they're a very good football team and we've got to make sure that we have a good week of preparation, study the opponent and take care of business, so that's what we're doing."

For the third game in a row, the Chiefs face an opponent who is built upon the strength of their defensive line.

I'm not too worried about Cordy vs. Hali; he's held his own every time he's played him. I'm more concerned about Henderson. He needs a game like he had vs. Wake.

GO BILLS!!!

Henderson had quite a bit of help vs. Wake. They'll have to gameplan for Houston in a similar fashion.

Jackson: I did the same stuff Thursday

Bills RB Fred Jackson said Wednesday that how he felt Thursday morning following a day of limited practice would say a lot about where he’s at in his attempt to return from a groin injury suffered in Week 7. Jackson was able to practice again Thursday on a limited basis and said when he woke up Thursday his recovering groin was okay.

“Woke up today and there was no residual effect from Wednesday,” Jackson said. “So anytime you can do that it’s a good thing. I was able to wake up and go out and do the same things I did yesterday.”

When asked if his workload in practice Thursday decreased, Jackson said it did not.

Chiefs vs. Bills preview

They're not divisional opponents, but it sure feels like it: The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have met in every regular season since 2008.

The two teams will square off again Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the third consecutive year that the Bills (5-3) have hosted the Chiefs (5-3).

Both clubs are in the playoff hunt, adding importance to a game that kicks off the second half of the season. ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak and Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher break it all down:
