well, yes. even nicely toasted my brain runs at a capacity higher than the average human, especially the average tsw'er. but then again so did my dog's, and he's been dead for 6 years. tho the brain capacity of the average tsw'er would increase significantly if you disregard T-Bone <_<

if we can get a earlier 2nd rounder via Henry trade, then I think CB is a real option, because of this, Greer and Thomas are our nickel and dime backs. Marlin Jackson and Carlos Rogers don't appear to be 1st rounder at the moment. Getting another good CB is an almost must, also we are on the eve of Pro Bowler Clements' FA. We need quality depth. Or OL, if Elton Brown is there take him.

another player growning on me is Logan Mankins, not to play tackle but as a LG, could be drafted in the 3rd or 4th and start the next day. I also think that OLB is a position that should be addressed along with WR and TE.

In a dream this would be ideal

2a-Elton Brown-Pile mover

2b-Marlin Jackson CB

3-Mike Nugent

4-Vincent Jackson TE

5-Robert McCune OLB runs a 4.4 40 at 245 pounds but is already 26, former National Guard

6-Micheal Munoz-Injuries

7-Taylor Stubblefield -not fast but shifty could make a good Slot WR very productive in College

Kicker-because if he's serious about bringing a Super Bowl championship to Buffalo he knows he has to have a placekicker the coaching staff can count on in a playoff game. A couple of years ago I would have thought that there's no way that Donahoe would be thinking like I do, but over the past two years I've posted cases for drafting McGahee & Losman. McGahee in late March or early April (before TD threw me off the scent by signing Gary) and Losman last year on draft day. I believed that those were selections that would make a lot of sense in trying to achieve a Super Bowl championship & Nugent is so obvious to me that I believe it is also obvious to TD. Belichick would not be considered such a genius if he had Lindell instead of Vinatieri, probably wouldn't have any Lombardi trophies. Drafting Nugent gives Mularchy a chance to win it all, keeping Lindell makes him no better than Marty & Herm.

I very much agree with frogger, i think CB is a very likely option for our 1st pick. Not so much as for Clements being a FA in the near future, but for needing more and possibly better options than Thomas and Greer as nickle and dime.

And if we should get another 2nd round pick, i would love to use it on either Jackson or Corey Webster. Both seem to have their draft stock slip a little, but both having shown big time ability.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for our needs on the interior OL, i have a feeling that will be taken care of early in the FAs. Would not be surprised if TD added our starting LG as this year's midnight signing. Many good could / will be available.

(Also have to admit that i haven't given up compltely on Sobieski yet. Thought this year could be his big chance to gain the LG spot, but unfortuneatly got injured, again. But when healthy a very athletic G.)

LT might be a bigger problem if Jennings should leave. Don't think i would slide MW over, when he is starting to really get control of the RT position. As for other option from within, there are 2 i guess. Either moving Teague to LT or starting Price. Not sure if i would be comfortable with either.

McFarland is too raw to be an option.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for our WR "needs" i found one guy that sounds very interesting as a early second day option for a big, tough slot reciever with good hands.

Reggie Harell out of TCU. 6-3, 210, listed with 4.6 40 time.

His Profile :

A highly recruited athlete and track star, Harrell has won championships in hurdles in addition to his stellar play on the football field. He redshirted his initial season with TCU and took a few season to really establish himself, but he enjoyed a breakout year as a junior setting the school record for yards in a season.

Harrell has very good size for the position. He's tall and has a good build and uses that size to play the game in a physical way. He also does a lot of position specific skills well. He runs very nice, discipline routes. He doesn't show great quickness or an outstanding burst in his breaks, but he cuts sharply and always seems to be on the same page as the quarterback. He does a nice job of coming back for the ball and will continue to move with the quarterback when he breaks the pocket. Harrell has very good hands and is capable of making tough grabs as well as the easy ones. He's also tough and will go over the middle and take hits. He displays good leaping ability and athleticism in going up for passes in traffic. He also shows a great work ethic and attitude on the field and is a positive locker room presence. However, he lacks grat speed and his game overall lacks explosion. He also needs to improve as a blocker. He has the size and strength to be a better blocker, but does a lot more running off of DBs than blocking.

Harrell has the intangible qualities to play at the next level. Combine some of that toughness and football savvy with excellent size and hands and you have the prototypical possession receiver. If he runs at least reasonable times pre-draft, Harrell will be a solid 4th/5th Round selection.

Repeat after me... "With their first pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select J.P. Losman, Quarterback, Tuleane University."

Repeat as often as necessary to relieve Draft Day tension and avoid confusion.

JP is our #1 pick this year. He didn't play last year thanks be to Drew slipping Vincent a few Benjamins. He's a rookie with a playbook.

Good point, Nanker. People forget that what we did was spend a 2nd rounder (and a 5th I believe) to make THIS year's first round pick LAST year. With the sheer crap that this class (especially at QB) appears to be, major kudos to the Toms for pulling the trigger. I doubt that a QB of Loseman's quality would be there for the taking with the #20 pick. Time will tell (about both Loseman and the 2005 QBs).

Now, let's assume that they stay pat THIS year...

Since the DL class looks weak this year, I think you can rule out either a DT or DE (as of now) for our second round pick. The CB class looks to be the deepest -- and there sould be a quality player there for us. So I'd bank on CB... if not, then OL.

The Mock Draft above has Kevin Everett, arguably the #4 Tight End in the draft, being picked by the Bills. Matt Roth, the #5, is being shown going before Everett, and would make a better TE for our run game.

With some luck, Marcus Spears, the #4 or #5 DE could fall to us, and would make me happier.

Ernest Shazor, the Safety out of Michigan, is ranked #3, and could also fall. We should think about depth at Safety, but haven't had good luck growing our own, so to speak. Maybe we address this in FA.

Let's see who has the best bead on this team. I say safety. Milloy is expensive and aging while Vincent already aged. Coy Wire ain't cutting it. It's time to groom for the future.

I want a kicker, someone who can make a difference in the game. Someone who can kick the ball in the endzone on kickoffs a few times. Someone who can make a FG from 40+ yards more than miss them. I think you know who I am talking about.

You are very welcome about the link Astrobot. It is one of the better ones, especially with more and more of the draft links seemingly turning into pay or semi pay sites (like for instance Huddlereport regretfully).

It is Allen Trieu's own draft page, and has some very nice looking and sounding profiles. And the video bits are a nice addition as well. He had those last year too, and probably will keep adding more this year as well.

The WR Harell teammate (the other video) actually doesn't look bad at all either, LT Alabli at 6-6, 325. Trieu has him ranked as the 9th best OT, at 3rd round level.

Not sure who i would pick if the draft turned out like that though, but don't think it would have been Everett. Maybe FS Butler, think he could turn out to be a good one.

as for my pick it would be a TE...I really woulda loved for the bills to have taken watson last year but I like the choices they made instead also...sometimes I miss ol' pete..lol..I think if we had a shockey, heap, gonzalaz type TE with our wr corp of moulds and evans our offense would kik ars

My ideal draft would be trading henry to tampa for their 2nd. This way tampa can draft lb in the 1st. Quarles is getting up their in age, and they could use some depth, and get a proven rb in the 2nd, instead of going for the unkown quanity. This way now my draft would go as follows

2nd Rd-

1. og- Elton Brown Virgina 6'6 338 204 HONORS WATCH: One of 12 semifinalists for the Lombardi Award ... Outland Trophy candidate ... All-America candidate ... All-ACC candidate. Monster run blocker. Can Improve in pass protection.

2. Rb- Eric Shelton Louisvile- Trading Henry Leaves us with a dilema. Now while Willis is a great back. It doesn't get much better than this if you want a 1/2 combo to be a smash mouth team 6'3 250lb 4.5 40, but we can still fill holes in the oline in the following round. This just gives us an insurance policy if willis god forbid gets hurt.

3rd Rd

OT-Anthony Alabi TCU- 6'6 323 5.3 40. He was 1st team All-Conference USA and his senior season, Alabi was named to the Lombardi Watch List as one of the nation's finest linemen. Great movmenet, and quickness of feet. Mirrors de's. Might have trouble against stronger de's.

4h rd

Cb- Ronald Bartell Howard College- 6'2 203lbs 4.40 40. Didn't play against great competition but has great size and speed. Phsyical and agressive corner

college stats TOTALS - 212 2 30 4/1

5th rd

K- Dave Rayner Michigan St. - Look at this no mike nugent and we still get a good kicker Strengths: Has a great leg...Can hit from 50+ yards and as long as 55...Pretty accurate...Also excels as a kickoff specialist...Has had a very productive career.

2004-39 39 100.0 22 31 71.0 2/2 11/13 2/3 5/6 2/7 53 105

6th rd

wr- Rasheed Marshall West Virgina- Could be our slash 6'1 190 4.5 40

Notes: Played quarterback his senior season for the Mountaineers but will have to shift to wideout at the pro level, a la someone like Antwaan Randle El...Intriguing developmental prospect.

7th rd

S- Jermaine Harris South Carolina 6'4 210lbs 4.6 40. Great Size. Very Physical Loves to hit. Average Speed. Not much of a playmaker. Prety one dimensional. Nephew of Franco Harris. May need to be in the right scheme to succeed, I love his size. Maybe some tutoring under Milloy could help hime define his game and improve in some areas.

Anyways it was kind of hard and only the 1st mock I ever did so try to go easy on me lol as I tried my best with my limited college football knowledge
