An Ode to Bon Jovi

Recommended Posts

Be warned my fellow Bills fans

there are pirates at our shores

Two of them have flapping heads

The third, hairspray galore

Their supposed leader clapped and cheered

when Norwood broke our hearts

Now his PR man inked a letter

with a Bullsh*t reading off the charts

He comes with claims of loyalty

and crap tunes from the eighties

At one time deemed a heartthrob

by our less discerning ladies

His plan to keep the team in town

developed overnight

Should have stuck to that script from the get go

At least Trump got that part right

While our Billionaires negotiate,

And there looms a battle in the courts

He says he's committed to western New York,

Disregard the guy from MAPLE LEAF Sports;

I believe in evolution

but not in Santa Claus

Let's not fall victim to his ruse

our last words, "et tu, Jaws?"

This week we celebrate enshrinement

of the legend Andre Reed

Whose comments "off the record"

should serve should serve as our new creed

Nobody likes a two face

Not many like anchovies

Now everybody all at once

"Man, F* Bon Jovi!"

Whether sitting by yourself

or with a friendly crowd

Shout out "F* Bon Jovi"

and make our city proud

When near a live TV feed

Project it nice and loud!

Let's hear a hearty "F* Bon Jovi"

Now that's Talking Proud!

When at a game, the Today Show

or Presidential Innauguration;

It's on you to yell "F* Bon Jovi"

As the voice of all Bills Nation

Bon Jovi's letter in the news way, way to late. He should have been advised better to get in front of the backlash from Bills Nation. I mean, really JBJ? Really? You really thought by simply partnering up with folks to buy the Bills that you would be welcome with open arms? Like I said, you should have been advised much better. Your letter and any vote of confidence about not moving the Bills if you lead the winning bid should have been published the same day you announced you were inputting a bid. Even then however with who you decided to dance with Bills Nation still would have not trusted you.

Has a nice rhythm to it when sung to "pop goes the weasel" or Allan Sherman's "I hate the Beatles."

I didnt see anything posted here, but Fred Jackson was interviewed on the FAN 590 and was asked about Bon Jovi music.

He said it was out of his control and that he had Bon Jovi songs on his playlist.

FREDEX is the man....this thread sux!

Its great that he wants to keep the Bills in Buffalo, I dont see him being a liar. If he did any investigation he would have figured that Buffalo is a better place to have the team anyway.

Too bad he never actually says he's keeping the team in Buffalo, therefor won't be called a liar. Further exacerbating the known feeling he would move the team.
