Friday the 13th and a full moon on the same day! Watch out! From my brother in law who is an astronomy geek...among other things. Friday the 13th is coming up, but for those of us west of the Eastern Time zone, the Full Moon will have already happened on the 12th. It's because US-centric calendars almost exclusively use Eastern time. The Full Moon instant will be at 9:11 PM on the 12th, Pacific Time (Midnight-11 on the 13th for east coasters).
