Put up some great numbers at the combine(4.64 sec 40,38.5 in vert,124.0 in broad jump), haven't had a chance to watch a lot of film on this guy yet. Wondering if anybody believes he could be an option for us at #10. Measured in at 6'3" and 271 lbs. Again, haven't seen him a ton, so please share what you've seen.

Perry really helped himself buy putting on 20lbs from his listed weight and by still being that fast and explosive, plus 35 reps on the bench ain't shabby- of all the guys who improved their position (Branch, Ingram, Mercilus, Cox, Poe) I think Perry improved the most.

While one could be worried that it's a Maybin-esque 20# addition, there's a big difference going from 230 to 250, and 250 to 270. The only problem is that he might be gone before 10.

Nick perry combine measurements and work out.

They had him down as strength being one of his weaknesses. he showed them by putting up 35 reps of 225. extreme explosion with a 10'4" broad jump and 38.5 inch vert for a guy that weighs in at 271 lbs. he also has long arms 33". best combo of size and speed and strength. This work out just moved him to my top DE.

The more I think about it, the more I want to draft him at #10 as well.

This. He's now 4th in the conversation. Ingram-Coples-Branch-[Perry / Mercilus tie]

You think branch is in the discussion for the 10th pick? I really like the kid but I'm not sure I like him at 10. I'd rather have upshaw than branch and I'm not very high on upshaw as a 4-3 DE. Mayock said today that Branch will be an excellent 3-4 OLB. I didn't hear anything else regarding what position he'll play. I missed bits and pieces of the combine, so I may have just missed it.

Most mocks have Branch in the 2nd round. Most have Perry in the Mid-late 1st....and I hope posters will have the decency to refrain suggestion the Bills trade down and take Perry later. If they trade down, it will be cecause there are 4 players they like a 1 will likely be left....not because they think they are reachiing for their guy.

Watch the tape of him vs. Stanford OT Jonathan Martin. While he didn't sack Luck (to my recollection), he really abused Martin and was in the backfield the entire game. I watched the game live, and the Youtube clip does not really do his performance justice, but worth a look anyway.

The kid is starting to really show up and i worry he will rise past our pick point at 10. if he is there, we take him. no regrets!

This how i started with Marcel D last year. uh oh.

I like the young man more since combine and interview, thanks for the reinforcement Johnny!

I don't know, Poe's combine was insane.

New Era, Mayock made one comment on Branch and that was the notion that Andre Branch couldn't "set the edge" as a 4-3 DE. That was about it for analysis about the possibilities of him playing that position.

Yeah that's the part I heard. He said he projects as a good 3-4 OLB. Not sure he's the guy for us. Especially at 10

I agree about Coples. You switched your mock draft again....before seeing what Kirkpatrick does as the combine?

None of these guys have the motor or play with the effort and athleticism that Ingram does. If you watched a single down of S Carolina this year you'd notice that he was making every play on the field. He also kicked down to 3 tech but could play OLB as well. Ingram is the best FUNCTIONAL athlete of the bunch. Perry was a pass rush specialist in the Tampa 2 and doesn't like to play the run. He doesn't play with the instincts that Ingram plays with. For once, I'd like to the Bills to take a guy who doesn't need work. It finally happened last year and Dareus turned out to be very good.
