Guys and Gals,

As I read our exchanges in these threads, I see the comments getting more caustic than conversational. I know it's hot outside, the NFL season is not a sure thing and the economy still sucks, but perhaps we should take a deep breath before continuing to bash each other in our posts.

Lately, I've seen a lot of latent hatred being implied, with remarks about race, religion and political ideologies getting more frequent. We are all frustrated by the chance that there may be a delay before we get our football fix. But surely we can take it down a notch so that we can continue to enjoy reading and participating in the Stadium Wall.

If anyone cares to contribute, this might be a thread where we can get away from the lashing out for a moment.

What's a funny thing that happened to you at a Bills game?

One of mine is...

Several years ago a group of us took a bus trip to a Bills home game (from Pennsylvania). After the game we returned to our bus parked next to others. The Bills lost that game big time and there were a lot of somber faces everywhere. The people in the half-filled bus next to us had all sat in the front rows, except for a young lady who went to the rear, opened the roof hatch and climbed half out onto the roof. She removed her top and bra (she was very drunk). It cracked us up. As we started laughing, the people in front of the bus beside us thought we were fans of the other team and that we were mocking them. They started getting angry and made signs to show it, never realizing what the girl in their rear was doing. We could not hear each other, so they kept getting madder as we laughed all the more. Some of us were even pointing, but they didn't get it. As our bus pulled away, we couldn't help seeing the humor of the situation. Meanwhile, the people in the other bus were shaking their fists at us and looked like they were shouting. Sometimes, when you are in a bad mood, the least little thing will be humorous.

I attended the Bills game in Cincinnati last year and within the first 10 real-time minutes of the game a guy started shouting at my brother and I (i'm gonna F*** you two boys after the Bills get smoked....You'll be really F***ed! etc.) and my brother and I just laughed at him. After the third or fourth obscene sentence his wife took him away and they never returned to their seats. It was hilarious.

Now that's the definition of oblivious.

We were hanging out at our tailgate after a game and watched a police officer confiscate a samurai sword from some litte punk that was about to get beat up for mouthing off to the wrong person. The kid ran to his car and grabbed the sword from the back seat. The cop saw this and promptly took it. This big cop with a shaved head was policing the lot for the rest of the night carrying around a sword. Guarantee nobody gave him a hard time that night!

I've got 2 but ill save the best for last...

We were in the parking lot stuck in traffic after a game (no idea which one) and a truck cut off a car trying to get into the main lanes. The driver of the car gets out and starts running his mouth as he walks up to the truck, and a huge guy gets out and punched the driver of the car in the face and knocks him down.

All off the guy who was driving the cars friends got out and walked towards the truck when the passenger side of the the truck opened and an equally large guy got out. All of the friends got back in the car and locked the doors. Their friend who had gotten punched ran to his car and started yelling at his friends to unlock the doors.

My car had emptied to watch the fight and we simultaneously got a thumbs up from the big guy in the truck and a middle finger from the guy driving the car!

Edit: it was the christmas eve game against the titans when robert royal didn't get his feet in... and also my sisters husband who's italian first pro football game live or otherwise and he still brings it up whenever ppl talk about soccer hooligans haha

Second story happened in the stands...

3 friends and I had season tix in section 122 (suprising right) and due to our pregame festivities 2 of my friends got up as the game started to use the bathroom and another went to get beer so I was in our seats by myself. I then heard someone behind me almost puke and I turned around in time to watch a guy projectile vomit on the ppl sitting in a row in front of me. As the guy who got vomitted on turned around and starting yelling the cops came down as well as my friends who thought I was getting taken out of the stadium. Turns out the guy who sits in front of us is brothers with the cop in the section and almost the entire row behind us got escorted out in the first quarter. Best timing ever by my friends as they would have been covered for the game and our 2.5 hour drive home.

Finally. There had to be a good projectile vomit story in here somewhere :)

There's a difference between having an argument about the league, the Bills, football, players, owners, etc. and blasting each other with personal attacks. I'm far from being a passive guy, but I try to keep from going too far. If that's your style, so be it.

This is a difficult offseason to be civil on the boards......a team that picked top 5 in the draft, the lockout, and negative nancies (oh excuse me...they like to be called "realists") coming out of the woodwork and having to listen to them longer because there is no free agency, training camps, preseason to distract.

So I know I am one of thefts he's talking about, oh well. I disagree with everything scrappy says, that's why I always read his posts. I don't have to, if I se his name I can just scroll right on by it.

So if someone irritates you don't read what they have to say.

It's like when I am flipping through the tv channels, I am not going to stop and check in on the logo channel, I see rhe name, know what it's about and go right by it.

I'm not going to watch it just because scrappy does

Perhaps you should start a thread about things and people you hate. It could be the hate zone. And you could bare all your repressed feelings to others, giving them insight into your personality. And it will be safe because none of them can touch you.

I have just one question. Are you a teenager?
