Players I don't want with the #3 pick:

Newton

Gabbert

AJ Green

Von Miller

Peterson

Amukamara

I don't want Qunn or who ever that guy is that didn't play his senior year because he was suspended. Green or Newton or maybe even Gabbert I could probably deal with though.

I went with Miller also, Mike Mayock and his comparison on Miller to DeMarcus Ware changed my mind.

Buffalo needs a pass rusher big time, the also need a run stopper big time. A great DB like Peterson would help also....so any quality defensive player works for me!

Just thinking about last seasons draft and how they didn't need a RB and yet took a guy who can't block, who can't find holes, has no patience behind his blockers, who was supposed to make his O line better. The Bills already had a guy who could do all that in Fred Jackson, plus he is a better 3rd down specialist.

I can't help but think that this team will select another player that is not needed, that will need a ton of coaching and may or may not get better.

My expectation on draft day is:

1. Carolina - Cam Newton QB Auburn

2. Denver - Patrick Peterson CB LSU

3. Buffalo - Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri

just sayin.

I think you are dead on here if the Bills fear they won't have a chance to pick this high again for a couple of years and decide they must get their future QB (to learn under Fitz\Gailey) now. I used to be against this as I've noted in other posted replies, but after the combine and after it was pointed out to me how scary it would be to have Cam, Freddie, and CJ in the same backfield, I'm hoping that if QB is the planned pick that Carolina passes on Cam so we get a shot at him or, if not, then Gabbert.

If not QB then go DE and DT interchangeably the first two rounds and then BPA according to need after that, depending on if any FA's are picked up.

Man this waiting for April 28th is torture!!

I don't think the combine results matter (which is why I think the whole weekend is a waste of time).

The Bills need to draft defense, period...someone who can rush the passer or stop the run.

Not when he reportedly ran a 4.37 at NCU.

I'm not too concerned with what a guy ran unofficially over a year ago. 4.7 2 days ago.

We need to draft both. The question is, will we address one in round 1?

I picked Dareus and he will be our pick if he is there, but I am fine with Newton. We'd still be too weak upfront if we got Peterson. I think Carolina takes Fairley, Bowers or Gabbert (if he has a great pro day) and Denver takes Peterson no matter who Carolina takes. If Fairley and Dareus go, trade down a couple and take Quinn or Newton.

Wow, I am completely shocked at the results here. Currently...Dareus 42 votes...Fairley 6 votes. What the bleep?????? Are you people serious?????

What the heck did Nick Fairley do wrong? The guy came in shape, said the right things, did great in the drills, showed that he was fast in the 40, has the prefect body type for what we need. In fact I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Nick Fairley looks like the second coming of Bruce Smith. Long arms, long legs, absolutely menacing towards lineman and QBs alike. Yet there are 42 people voting for the rotund Dareus who is a DT at the next level. He's not a DE, did you see his big wide body?

I just found this article which sums up my feelings...

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/39883/is-fairley-being-fairly-evaluated

"If six or seven NFL general managers pass on him come April, the joke's on them."

You have a guy like Bowers who was hands down the best prospect going into college, however he never reached the level people thought he'd reach. That's a bad sign. Then you have a guy like Fairley who came from a JUCO, adjusted then became the most feared defensive lineman in the country. That's a very good sign, his talent and skills is on the accent. But people here are enamored with Dareus' very solid 4 year effort defensive lineman over a monster player like Fairley. I just do not get Fairley's fall from grace. I think people have lost their minds here.

From the SB to draft day, nothing is a waste of time...but the combine is only one piece of the giant puzzle. If it was a waste of time, do you think all the coaches, scouts, & media would be there?

At his point, I'm going with Dareus.

I believed there was a great chance Marcel Darues would be there for the Bills taking at #3, but that was a few weeks ago.

I think he's the best prospect in the draft and as things sort themselves out over the next 2 months, I think he'll end up going #1 or #2.

If Carolina decides against taking a QB, there decision will come down to dareus or Quinn. In the end I think Dareus would win out as he's the more proven prospect of the two, and with the #1 pick you don't want to get too risky.

Too bad, too because Dareus would've beefed up the Bills run D immediately, while also providing a nice pass rush from the inside on passing downs.

Unfortunately agreed

dareus just might make it to 3, and if so we should take him. If he doesn't make it to 3 we have a hard choice to make between some very good defensive linemen and taking a chance on Cam Newton. I'm still in favor of trading down.

I think the odds of us trading down are slim, & I'm really hoping we will pass on Newton. Like you, I feel we have a good chance to get Dareus. I hope it happens.
