Back in 1990 (I think) I was positive that Nate Turner was going to be either the next Earl Campbell, or the future Jerome Bettis. Or even the next Jim Braxton!!!! He ended up getting cut before the first game of the regular season, never to take an NFL field again, to the best of my knowledge.....preseason doesn't mean anything! :w00t:

1.) I thought Ryan Leaf would be better than Peyton Manning :w00t:   (holy sh-- did I miss there).

I was not a big football fan at the time
2.) I thought Tom Brady would fail in NE. (Not exactly fail, but definitely not win another SB and lead a dynasty in the making).

Me too, I still think he will (dynasty, gah, dont use that word)
3.) I thought Rob Johnson would be a probowler.

I thought he'd be a complete failure, looks like I was wrong on that
I've made some good calls in my time, but daaaamn, those 3 speak for themselves.

I'm always right (see item 2 in 2 years)

but that was AFTER he won rookie of the year, right?

you are an old fart if you think Dan Darraugh had good hair  :w00t:

Darraugh....yep...Oh crap, I remember Dan Darraugh and his ill fated 1968 season. That of which began with Kemp, Flores, Stephenson, Darraugh, and then Rutkowski. Jeez, what a horrible year, and this board has struggled with this years team?

1. I thought Gregg Williams knew what he was doing.

2. I thought Antowain Smith was the next Earl Campbell.

3. I thought the Bills in 1985 should have drafted Doug Flutie instead of some guy named Smith from some hick college in Virginia.

4. I thought Jerry Crafts was the next House Ballard.

5. I thought Ronnie Harmon could catch a fuggin football.
