Worst NFL stadium issue you have had, anywhere

Recommended Posts

Bills were ahead by 3 TD's + in Miami, drunken Miami fans attacked us in the nose bleeds and decided that the (716) chant was not appropriate any longer. We tried to pass on the goal line and it equaled a explosion of taunt unknown by most folks. It topped the playoff loss after standing in a looting rain for our will call tickets in the late 90's, by a bit.

How about you??

I read this twice, still couldn't make any sense out of it, then laughed anyway.

At the Ralph last year, I'm in Sec 112, Row 30, and I was standing up now and again cheering and trying to get people fired up (it's hard these days). Some lame fan a few rows back had security come ask me to sit down...It's a Buffalo Bills home game for cryin out loud! Luckily, I used to work secuirty at the games and happened to know the guard. I kept on doing what I was doing and everyone around me loved it, except for that lame fan a few rows back.

I took my son (10 years old), and two of my nephews, one of them was just out of the service and feeling his oats, to the Bills Steelers playoff game in Pittsburgh.

Reich was subbing for an injured Kelly, and the Bills beat them like 24-3 or something. Our seats were like

two rows from the top, definitley nose bleed territory. We were in a section of mixed fans nicely interspersed throughout our section, and the atmosphere was amicable, with Bills fans high fiving Steeler fans and a lotta of love flowing, then the

game started, and everything changed very quickly. Towards the end of the third quarter, and with the game certainly out of reach of the Struggling Steelers (has a nice ring to it, doesn't it), and the fans behind us began to wave their penants in front of our faces. I told my older nephew that it was time to leave, so we got up and started down the long descent to the bottom of our section, and I turned to look back, and my older nephew was standing at the bottom of the section facing back up to our seats and was pumping his arms up and yelling "let's go Bills", I quickly grabbed him and pulled him toward the exit, but he broke loose and was doing it again, now I am pissed. I turn to grab him again but it was too late, as there were about four or five young and visibly intoxicated Steeler fans making a bee line towards us. They got

down to the bottom of the section, and there was a little pushing and shoving, and I told them, "look guys, we don't want any trouble, I have two young kids here with me", and apologized for my nephew. This seemed to diffuse the situation a little, but the followed us out to the exit ramps and the confrontation began again, now I am seething mad, one of them charges at my nephew, and I quickly grabbed him and through him up against a concerte wall, and was just about to nail him, when I catch the other three oor so charging me from one side, at that very moment, two uniformed security guards came around the corner, and I got their attention, and said, "officer, these guys will not let us leave the stadium, and we don't want any trouble". They looked at me and said, "oh, is that right, well we will take it from here, and the grabbed all of them and the last I saw, they were escorting them out of the stadium, we dodged a big one right there baby. I ripped my nephew the whole way home, then we celebrated.

Bathrooms at old Cleveland Municipal stadium...

I'm with you on that one.. For 30 years I don't think they made a single repair to that place.. a typical bathroom consisted of 1 toilet and a long trough that was called a urinal... Stairs that were crumbling.. Terrible sight lines for both baseball and football... I was told that when the stadium was built in the 1920's it was supposed to be an attractive venue for the Olympics... It wasn't attractive for anything, anytime, ever!!

As for how fans conduct themselves and how visiting/home fans are treated.. When I go to another city, I don't dress up like a kid at Halloween, paint my face, drink so much alcohol that I can't control myself... I don't taunt or swear and yell offensive things to others.. When visiting another town I might even buy a ball cap from the city that I'm visiting and wear it while at the game.. I no desire or need to invite idiots to pelt me with objects or instigate a fight...

I've been to Bills games all over the country for the past several years, and I have to say the Bills fans are by far the worse. I hate to say it, but that what I've seen. These days the ralph is full of these 20+ power drinkers that are so smashed they don't know if it's the offense or defense on the field. At least they buy the tickets, jeresys, and hats so the team stays in buffalo.

The truth. My friends and I contribute.

Didn't happen to me, but......

At the old Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Insert-Latest-Name-Here Stadium in My Yami in the 90's, after the Bills whomped the dog snot out of the Dolphins, a van with a Bills license plate on the front had the entire front windshield smashed in, after the game. Miami cops were standing around smirking and yanking on their nether regions.

Anytime I go to an O's game to watch them suck as usual (and we think the Bills are hopeless) :w00t:

Actually, the biggest issue was one time at opening day of an O's game we accidentally sat in the wrong seats. Unfortunately, opening day is the one game of the whole season where Camden Yards is actually packed so it was really embarrassing when the usher yelled at us to get out of the seats in front of so many people who of course proceeded to laugh at us.

Edit: I missed the part in the subject that said "NFL" stadium when I typed this. Oh well
