Depending on the type offense, I think you have to have 6-7 wideouts on the roster, top three with three to four special teamer.

And wasn't Donald Jones the guy they were high on because of his blocking?

So I see it as:

Evans

Hardy

Johnson

Easley

Jones

Nelson

Parrish or Roosevelt

If Parish traded then Roosevelt, other wise Roosevelt to practice squad

81 Easley, Marcus WR 6-2 207 22 R Connecticut

83 Evans, Lee WR 5-10 197 29 7 Wisconsin

84 Hardy, James WR 6-5 220 24 2 Indiana

13 Johnson, Steve WR 6-2 202 23 3 Kentucky

11 Parrish, Roscoe WR 5-9 178 27 6 Miami

18 Roosevelt, Naaman WR 6-0 189 R UB

Roosevelt will be on the practice squad. If another receiver would emerge Parrish is toast.

I knew they were going to be really thin at the end of last season, but this is just scary.

T.O. was the best we had and he's gone now, which is fine, but that's a lot of production the Bills are going to miss.

I have never thought Evans was a # 1 either.

T.O. dropped more passes in one season than Evans has in his career.

In order:

Evans

Hardy

Johnson

Parrish

Easley

Huggins/Jackson will battle for the 6th spot

The Bills have kept six receivers for as long as I can remember, not sure about the people suggesting they'll only keep five.

Spiller throws off everything. They keep 5 because Spiller will play a good amount of WR. I also think Spiller will be our PR, ending Roscoe's career with Buffalo. Keep an eye out for Nelson - we like size at that position.

Outside the St. Louis game where in many people minds James Hardy dropped 10 balls, was the only poor game Hardy played in as a rookie. Why is everyone doubting him. You cant really count last year as a down year because he was hurt and on the PUP list. He has shown just as much as the ever beloved S Johnson. If people think Easely will come in here in put up 700 yard season, have way to high of hopes. He is just as RAW as Hardy when he came into the NFL.

T.O. had more catches, more yards, and more TDs than Evans even with those drops.

I'm not even an T.O. guy. Just look at the numbers. Evans 3.5 catches a game?

That is one of the strongest receiving corps in NFL history.. I just can't wait for the season opener! How are we going to keep them all happy with them sharing playing time? Is there going to be jealousy because probably no more than three of them will go to the pro-bowl?

Comedy isn't your strong suit.

just trying to be upbeat about the season. Only six or seven of them are going to deserve probowl status. A lot of the credit will go to our great offensive line and trent edwards arm!

It's not really funny.

Ol' Whitey couldn't draft for crap.

This last four years with Jauron has been a joke.

Who is the QB *whoever that is* going to throw to?

Freaking Evans???

---since obvious ones were taken---

Make Team:

81 Easley, Marcus WR 6-2 207 22 R Connecticut

84 Hardy, James WR 6-5 220 24 2 Indiana

17 Jackson, Chad WR 6-1 223 25 3 Florida

13 Johnson, Steve WR 6-2 202 23 3 Kentucky

86 Nelson, David WR 6-5 217 23 R Florida

19 Jones, Donald WR 6-0 214 22 R Youngstown State

18 Roosevelt, Naaman WR 6-0 189 R UB (PS)

15 Huggins, Felton WR 6-2 186 27 1 Southeastern Louisia (ps or cut)

83 Evans, Lee WR 5-10 197 29 7 Wisconsin (Trade for O-line or bargain slot WR + free up cash)

11 Parrish, Roscoe WR 5-9 178 27 6 Miami (CUT or trade for 5-6 rounder)

I know, blah blah "more holes"... blah blah "can't throw to himself..."

Bills are a young rebuilding team, why not become a young rebuilding team. Donald Jones can sprint down the sideline every down and not have anything thrown to him but for the league minimum. =)

And, FWIW, I think Roscoe is gonna be in the package deal for Gaither.
I think Chan gives Roscoe another chance to prove he can play. He also has special team value, which i think will be utilized on punt returns.
I cannot imagine Roscoe making this team. Gailey repeatedly talks about both mental and physical toughness and the only touchness I can see from Roscoe is his mouth. We now have a stockpile of punt returners although I doubt any will be what Roscoe was for that one beautiful season of returns.
If another receiver would emerge Parrish is toast.
I also think Spiller will be our PR, ending Roscoe's career with Buffalo.
11 Parrish, Roscoe WR 5-9 178 27 6 Miami (CUT or trade for 5-6 rounder)

Well, according to Chris Brown today, Roscoe is the starting slot receiver. Of course, after OTAs, training camp, and preseason, that could change, but looks like Parrish sticks and plays if he delivers...
