There's a slight difference in "throwing a punch" and completely flipping out for 10 minutes and having to be dragged down the tunnel by a combination of teammates, coaches, and security. But I guess that's just me.

IMO, McIntyre has been worthless since we signed him.

 

Not knowing how many backs Gailey will keep in the game, for the sake of argument let's presume that we will have a standard, 2-back FB/RB combo in the backfield.

 

That would give us 6 now, no?

 

Lynch, Jackson, Spiller, Bell, and then the 2 free agents Mendenhall and co.

I find it hard to believe this guy is anything other than training camp fodder. A shot in the dark that best case earns a roster spot, worst case provides a scout team back in camp for the starting D to beat on. I don' t think he, Mendenhall, or any other undrafted back they sign means anything in regards to Lynch.

 

Also, get over Blount, he was a late round guy with work ethic concerns before he sucker punched the Boise St. player. It seems about right that he go undrafted after.

I agree. I have no sympathy for the dude that got punched. He deserved it. Though he was already being dragged away by his coach when Blount decided to hit him. There's no excuse for either player, but while taunting a player who talked trash about you all week probably deserved a harsh talking to, punching an opposing player who had his head turned, punching a teammate, and then going berserk and having security drag you off the field certainly deserved a bit more repercussion.

Sucker punching a guy for saying something to you is pathetic. Anyone who supports this behavior is awfully immature and ignorant. The truth is, Blount was taunting Boise State players all pre-game and acting as though he was going to go after them. You know the whole song and dance where somebody pretends to be going after someone else and his friends hold him back. Pathetic.

 

A sucker punch is when you punch someone who has no clue it's coming and isn't defending themselves. Going into the season, continuing to have the worst offensive line in the NFL, there is no telling how many RBs Gailey will keep. They are going to have to carry the load, as even Joe Montana couldn't pass with this line. The more projects you have in camp, the more likely you might find a hidden gem.
