Jimmy Clausen the next JP Losman?

Why is everyone so high on Thigpen? He was a 6th round pick wasnt he? and not good enough to start in KC.

Would people really be happy if the Bills got him and made him our starting QB?

Good question, we have at least one QB on the roster now as good as Thigpen, if not better. It doesn't make sense to trade for a quarterback who won't improve the team one bit.

Kiper has been wrong on virtually every QB he's ever talked about.

Here's his list of "Can't miss franchise quarterbacks": Alex Smith, Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Andre Ware and Jeff George.

He said that Akili Smith was a better prospect than Daunte Culpepper or Donovan McNabb.

He also said Ryan Leaf had the right "attitude" to give him an advantage over Peyton Manning.

He said Cutler was the most overhyped player in the draft and nowhere near as good as Matt Leinart or Vince Young.

In other words: Who the !@#$ cares what Kiper or any other "expert" says?

I would be ecstatic if the Bills drafted Clausen. Unlike most college quarterbacks, he played his whole Irish career in a Pro Style offense and improved and matured every year. He is the type of qb we need at the Ralph, a cannon strong arm and he is tough as nails. The only way for this organization to go is to draft a good young qb and build a team that can stay good for a few season, and not try to catch fire in a bottle and win all at once, because that obviously isn't going to happen here, we have too many holes to fill. To bring in a Thigpen or another teams swept aside, career backups who have failed as starters would be just spinning our wheels and making no progress. I would love to see McNabb in Buffalo, but he would only be here 3 years max, and it is going to take that long to put a good competitive team around him.

Here's proof McShay is an idiot: He thinks Clausen is the biggest risk & he puts him #2 on his board behind Bradford. Why would anyone put a guy who he has such little respect for as his 2nd best QB in the draft? He makes no sense with his words vs what he put on his board.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. This is a weak QB class, and Clausen is the 2nd least suckiest QB this year.

Because thigpen played pretty damn good for the Chiefs 2 years ago. The only reason they didnt keep him was because Pioli had a woodie over matt cassel.

Thigpen flashed briefly. He's been around forever and Bills Parcells has him #3 on the depth chart behind 2 recent draftees. He's no better than what we got. Think bigger. Think better. Hey, even Rob Johnson looked good for a while. If Claussen is there, you take him. That maxed out arguement is just stupid. If you can throw a 25 yard out in high school, does that mean you're "maxed out". If Claussen can make all the throws, you take him.

But when standing next to McShay, he looks like a draft day GOD.

PS I remember when both these guys where ripping on Mayock for having Matt Ryan ranked #1 on the big board. they had him in the late teens or twentys. McShay even saying he was a 2nd round guy. Friggin idiots.

Yea McShay says he is "maxed out" What the hell makes him think that? Clausen blew donkey nuts his first two seasons. He was down right pitiful. Then he comes out and has a very very good junior season and is all of a sudden "maxed out" If he never improved in college sure I could see that, but a guy would took a huge bound forward in terms of progession is labled maxed out? Great, now I will have to hear all the other 3rd grade weanies regurgitating that sentence for the next 3 years. Besides, he already can make every throw in the book. Its not like they are making the field longer or wider. John Elway must have been maxed out too when he was coming into the league. Peyton Manning was maxed out after 3 years in the league. Same with Drew Brees. None of them ever got any better.... ever. Clausen doesnt have to get any better in many of the physical aspects. The notion he is maxed out is laughable.

Buddy says he avoids the one year wonders. Hopefully he sticks to his guns, especially in light of the fact Clausen wasn't even a "wonder" this year.

Thigpen was drafted in 2007. He's been in the league for 3 whole seasons. Last season he was on the Chiefs roster for the first 3 games and then was traded to Miami. I guess he should have been expected to win the starting job, though.

Jesus Christ, some of you people are stupid.
