I don't want someone saying the MRS :lol::lol: because some of you might.

 

Thanksgiving is usually PIE but someone might have a different type of dessert that would be of interest.

There are several variations, but the basic recipe is layered sherry soaked sponge cake, vanilla custard, fresh fruit, preserves, nuts and whipped cream. Set up and chilled for a good 24 hours or so to let the favors blend. Very rich.

My wife does something like that. I think she uses Kalua though, I can't remember. Actually she uses different liquors. I am not a big fan of alchohol in my desserts so, I don't care for it.

I make a killer Key Lime Cheesecake. I would have to say that it is my favorite.

This would be a good time to remind everybody about the TSW Cookbook that SDS went out and purchased because everyone said they had recipes they wanted to post for other TSW members.... So far, turnout has been low.

Been meaning to try that one out for awhile. Or more accurately,have my wife make it for me since I have no cooking ability beyond heating up Hot Pockets in the microwave :lol:
