  1. Yep. There is just nothing that compares, and I don't even think I'm some super hardcore fan. I like to watch football, but I would rather watch a regular season Bills game, than a Super Bowl with any other teams involved. My emotional connection with the Bills, will always make their games more compelling to me than any other games.
  2. It's not the same thing as a fake spike. It's pretty obvious that Schiano is a jerk (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--buccaneers-coach-greg-schiano-regarded-as-bully-around-nfl-well-before-kneel-down-incident-20120921.html). It's also obvious that some people here find that kind of behavior appealing. It's unnecessary, and there have been plenty of great coaches that have been successful without being jerks, so why someone admires acting like that, or feels it embodies some kind of "fighting spirit" is beyond me.
  3. Are YOU smoking crack? He kicked poorly today, and his shanked punt came at the absolute worst time.
  4. He isn't like Thurman. He is more of a home run hitter, and a bit less of a grinding back. He isn't quite the receiver that Thurman was either. But that home run potential is just so intimidating to defenses. It's exciting to have a player like Spiller on the roster finally! I don't feel the leadership quality from CJ that Thurman had, yet. But this game actually might bring that leadership forward. It was such a loss not having him out there, that it might give Spiller more juice in the locker room. CJ is a potential Hall of Fame back. He is that good.
  5. They were "playing with a chip on their shoulder" this week! They lost. It can't go on forever, they are still good, but they have some serious weaknesses too. I can't stand the attitude of Bills fans that are scared of the Pats because it makes me think the team is thinking the same way, Eff that team! The Bills are trying to maximize their own potential, regardless of the opponent.
  6. I think this line is even better than some of those Super Bowl team's lines. I remember people not always being that enamored with some of those O-lines.

  8. There is a reason why the threads come back to Fitz....he hasn't played well since, what week 5 of last season?
  9. He has come to the realization that he is now a high paid dancer. The Bills are going to emphasize the run from now on (I hope!) with Fitz throwing the ball 20 times a game. It's unfortunate for him, but the pass-first days are over until they replace Fitz.
  10. Yes, but the wager wasn't directed to the OP, it was to another that insinuated that VY has something to offer, and that the Bills made a mistake in letting him go. I disagreed, and pointed out that the rest of the NFL agrees too.
  11. What are you talking about? Unload on someone else...
  12. The stats relate directly to Fitz, and are misleading. I am hopeful, and have supported Fitz in the past, but so far he is the weak link.
  13. An update: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/qb-young-game-money-200138054--nfl.html
  14. It only been 2 games, and one was a blowout loss. I don't care if they can keep winning, but they are on a winning streak of one.
  15. We shall see PTR. I don't believe they will be able to continue to win only throwing the ball 19 times a game. They are going to get into situations where they will need to score quickly. They have only beaten the Chiefs! The Jets kicked them around...
  16. I don't care what the stats say, everyone that watched the games can sense that Fitz is struggling, and that they are running the ball to keep him from ruining the drives. Passing has become a last resort, and though some here think that's great, he needs to get some consistency or the Bills are going nowhere.
  17. I got the feeling SJ wasn't thrilled with the way the offense is performing. I think he knows it's going to be mostly running plays. He will just have to make the best of his opportunities, like he did against the Chiefs. I am curious if Tarvaris Jackson is getting more work these days. I'm sure he must feel like he might get an opportunity at some point. Hopefully this inspires him. I don't know if he is better than Fitz, but he can throw the long ball. In a run first offense, TJ may work better than Fitz, because if they start crowding the line to stop the run, TJ can get the ball deep, and can certainly throw the short passes as well as Fitz (erratically!)
  18. I don't want CJ to have to carry the load all season long. I think that when FJ returns there will be plenty of touches for both of them. Fitz blows without a great running game, so if Gailey is smart, he will let BOTH backs share the load. Should CJ get more carries than FJ? Probably, but the amount of running this team needs to do will take both backs performing at a high level. CJ would be way too worn out by the time the playoffs arrive if he has to carry this team on his back alone.
  19. I don't think most here are concerned about what a loss will do to USC, but with Matt Barkley and whether or not he would be a good QB for the Bills.
  20. I can't believe that there isn't some kind of drill that can help him get better at finding the ball. That should be all he does at practice, because he is useless, and a liability until he can figure out how to find the ball. He is excellent at coverage.
  21. I don't think Dalton stood out anymore than Gabbert, Mallett (who had serious personal issues) or anyone else, and I don't think Dalton is even that good anyway. If they were going to draft a QB, it had to be 2010 or 2011, I don't think they believe that they had the option of drafting a guy this year (being year 3), because they have to win this season. I'm not saying it was best for the long term success of the Bills, but I understand why they hitched the wagon to Fitz.
  22. I was looking through the Polian drafts, and they aren't that impressive, but they sure knew how to acquire players. Leonard smith, Steve Tasker, Pete Metz, Cornelius Bennett, James Lofton....Polian made it happen! Somehow, I can't accept that the players the Bills have chosen were so much less talented than every other team for the last 12 years or something. It's the culture, and as has been mentioned, lack of a consistent identity and playing style. A good QB would have helped immensely of course. I think they felt they had no other option. Trent was not it, and they needed to have success within 3 years (most would say that anyway) if they want to keep their job. If they drafted a QB, they had to have someone that could win right away, but they likely didn't feel there were any available (I think Chan really wanted Cam Newton, but he was out of reach). Then Fitz had that nice stretch at the start of last year, so they hitched up the wagon. What would you have done? Even with hindsight, it's not really clear. Andy Dalton? Trade for Alex Smith? Kevin Kolb?
