Trump's leadership team
PastaJoe replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In a pair of tweets Saturday, Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said "AG Jeff Sessions has a good ring to it." Graham then expressed his disapproval of speculation that Sessions could jump over to DHS. "DHS Secretary Jeff Sessions doesn't sound right, doesn't feel right," he said. "Bad idea." The Republican head of the Senate Judiciary Committee warned "Everybody in D.C." that there was "no way" his committee could consider a new attorney general this year. Sen. Chuck Grassley issued the advisory on Twitter as a report said President Trump might bypass Congress and make a recess appointment for the top law enforcement position. "Everybody in D.C. Shld b warned that the agenda for the judiciary Comm is set for rest of 2017," Grassley tweeted. "Judges first subcabinet 2nd / AG no way." http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/lindsey-graham-bad-idea-to-move-jeff-sessions-to-dhs/article/2630110 -
Obviously we were much better off when Obama left compared to what he had to start with. Stock exchange up 300%, health care for +20 million, and job creation way up. But there's always room for further improvement, and we can't afford to slide back into previous mistakes like supply side economics. Just ask Kansas how that worked for them.

Putin finally decided to retaliate because he's not getting his return on investment. He did nothing to retaliate when Obama took similar action during the campaign, with the expectation that Trump would lift the sanctions after he took office. Now that the collusion is exposed, Trump can't deliver.

"We will repeal and replace Obamacare. It will be done very, very quickly. It will be so easy." Repeal and replace - FAIL Repeal only - FAIL Skinny repeal - FAIL So much for the greatest deal maker. Trump couldn't even convince the Republicans who have had 7 years to come up with an acceptable plan. It turns out that Obama was the real deal maker. He should write a book, The Real Art of the Deal.

Is that something you've enjoyed? I'm getting a better picture of your issues. Good luck with them.

I don't take your words personally, you obviously have issues and can't be held accountable. I wish you well with your struggles. The Boys Scouts have created new merit badges inspired by Trump's speech.

Who's oyu? If you can't type, you should step away from the keyboard. Spellcheck is not a secret government conspiracy. FYI, I was a Boy Scout, as was my son.

Just when you think the House of Cons can't get any more sophomoric, Scaramucci in an interview called Priebus a "F---ing paranoid schizophrenic". -

The infighting in the House of Cons didn't take long. Scaramucci tweeted that he wants the FBI to investigate chief of staff Priebus for leaking his financial disclosure information. -
June 2016 - “thank you to the LGBT community! I will fight for you while Hillary [Clinton] brings in more people that will threaten your freedoms and beliefs.” July 2017 - “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump wrote online, breaking his message up into multiple posts. "Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.” Brad Carson, who served as acting undersecretary of defense for personnel in the Obama administration, called it “unprecedented to roll back a civil rights protection.” Carson, a former Democratic congressman from Oklahoma, oversaw the Pentagon’s decision last year to take steps to ultimately allow transgender troops to serve openly – an implementation plan that Mattis had delayed for six months in June pending additional review. He said that while issues such as medical care and housing for transgender troops were still being grappled with, there was widespread support among the top brass for ensuring the estimated 15,000 transgender troops in the ranks could serve openly. When he asked the chiefs of the four military branches if they believed transgender troops should be barred from service, Carson recalled in an interview Wednesday, everyone said no.” “There was no support for this idea that you would drum out the transgender troops.” http://www.politico.com/story/2017/07/26/trump-transgender-240980

While Trump tantrum tweets, the Russians continue to take advantage of his acquiescence at our expense. The Taliban have received improved weaponry in Afghanistan that appears to have been supplied by the Russian government, according to exclusive videos obtained by CNN, adding weight to accusations by Afghan and American officials that Moscow is arming their one-time foe in the war-torn country. US generals first suggested they were concerned the Russian government was seeking to arm the Afghan insurgents back in April, but images from the battlefield here corroborating these claims have been hard to come by. http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/25/asia/taliban-weapons-afghanistan/index.html Asked in April whether he would refute the reports Russia was arming the Taliban, the US commander here, Gen. John Nicholson, said: "Oh, no I'm not refuting that... Arming belligerents or legitimizing belligerents who perpetuate attacks ... is not the best way forward". Gen. Joseph Votel, chief of US Central Command, told a congressional committee in March he believed the Russians were seeking influence in Afghanistan "I think it is fair to assume they may be providing some sort of support to (the Taliban) in terms of weapons or other things that may be there," he said.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
PastaJoe replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well losing due to a questionable vote count in Florida did upset many. But you must have slept through the '90's when the right was attacking the Clintons. And of course Trump is only making the discourse worse by acting anything but presidential, even politicizing a Boy Scout speech. At least Obama was a Boy Scout. Trump got 3 deferments from the Boy Scouts. -

How is the investigation stopping the Republicans from repealing and replacing Obamacare? How is it stopping tax reform? How is it stopping an infrastructure proposal? How is it stopping building the wall and making Mexico pay for it?
