Rex's Truck - Now Clemson logos
Jerry Jabber replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex and Rob both seem like two very likable guys. They both did their best to fit in with the community. It's a shame that things didn't workout for them in Buffalo. -
That would be typical of the Bills during this drought. They've gone back and forth from one side of the ball being good, while the rest sucked. The offense was good during Bledsoe's first year with the Bills, but the defense sucked. The next two years, the defense was great, but then the offense sucked. Special Teams was great when Bobby April was here, but the offense and defense sucked. When Pettine was here, the defense improved to 10th, then got better under Schwartz, but the offense sucked. The next two years, the offense improved, but the defense sucked. Now, if the Bills hire Olson to go along with Frazier, the defense will improve, while the offense will regress again. Hopefully the Bills are smart enough not to hire Olson, otherwise we'll see the playoff drought extend to 20 years.

Marrone Wants Crossman as the Jags' ST Coach
Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good! -
In 2013 when the Bills finished 6-10 and fired Chan Gailey, Russ Brandon said "the Bills brand has been tarnished." Fast forward to 2017, the Bills finished 7-9 and "are close." Close to what, being a perennial loser, oh wait, they have been for 17 years. RIP Dusty! Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16...Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!

Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach
Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Medical is an interesting one. It was reported during Marrone's time that both him and Whaley wanted modern medical practices within the organization, but the old regime wanted to keep things the way they were. Marrone and Whaley felt "stim and ice" was an old outdated practice. Equipment is another as it was apparent the Bills did not know how to play in the snow this year. -
Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach

Forgot about those two. Thanks! Dez looks good in OTA's, but not in training camp and the regular season. Hopefully he can improve. -
Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach
Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brees as a replacement for TT would be Fuccillo!!! I wonder what the Bills will have to give up in return to make that happen. Also, the only WR on contract for 2017 is Watkins. Will the Bills resign Woods and/or Goodwin? Will they draft and/or acquire WR(s) via FA. -
St Doug officially head coach in Jax.

I wonder which member of the Jacksonville media is Marrone going to interrogate at an airport hangar? -

I completely understand why the decision was made to bench TT in the finale, due to the injury stipulation in his contract. Now it's being reported that the Pegula's are having remorse for not letting Anthony Lynn have the choice on who he wanted as his starting QB in the season finale. In regards to the power structure at OBD, the way things have gone down there, it sends a negative vibe throughout the league about the organization. With that negative vibe, it will turn off a lot of good coaches and players from coming to Buffalo as it shows the Bills are a dysfunctional organization.

Oh god, bringing back the nightmare that hasn't gone away for 17 years! Seriously, great example of why the owners need to let their GM's and coaches do their jobs and not interfere. That decision by Ralph cost the Bills a trip to the Super Bowl.
-
The Pegula's have proven to be meddling with the Bills so far. In their first coaching hire, it was a four person committee, which made no sense as it should be the GM's job to hire his coach. Next was the mind boggling rank structure at One Bills Drive, with Rex reporting directly to the owners and not the GM. Next, the owners firing Rex and not having Whaley be involved. Finally, the decision to bench Taylor and start Manuel, which is something the coach should have had say in who he wanted to start for the game.

Gilmore: The Shadow Knows
Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did previously when I discussed Gilmore's stats from the first Jets game. You can't argue with someone who has a biased opinion stuck in their mind that a player is elite, even though you show evidence that disproves that idea. Gilmore is a good CB, but he is inconsistent as his play has shown throughout his career. There are games, especially early on in the season where it looks like he regressed significantly, then there are games where he looks borderline dominant. -

The only one that's lame is you with your obsession with Gilmore. Anytime anyone says anything bad about Gilmore, you defend him to death. So what it is, are you an obsessed Gilmore fan, a family member of his, you have a man-crush on him? Keep defending Superman, that way he can go somewhere and get the elite payday he is looking for. -

You don't get the joke, so I'll fill you in. The way you're carrying on about Gilmore is the answer to the question [superman], which he is far from it. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-top-25-nfl-cornerbacks-this-season/ Look who didn't make the list? Superman...excuse me, Gilmore! -

Gilmore: The Shadow Knows
Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 Many of times, he would just try the Donte Whitner style tackle (just drive his shoulder him the player, in hopes that would knock him down), instead of using his arms to wrap up the player. -
Gilmore: The Shadow Knows

If you say so... Exactly! I remembered he had a horrific game that day. So, Gilmore is trying to pat himself on the back just for the last two games, but he's been inconsistent overall. That game vs Ryan Fitzpatrick (who's a very inconsistent player himself) torched Gilmore all game long. Gilmore wants to be paid like an elite CB, but he's average at best. -

What are his stats vs The Jets in their matchup in 2016?
