  1. Have to disagree. Your #2 WR should be able to run all the same routes as your #1 WR. Most times, your #1 WR gets double covered, depending on how well the rest of the WR’s on the team are. If the rest of the WR’s are sub-par/mediocre, good luck trying to spread the ball around. I don’t know about you, but I would love to have the caliber of top WR’s the Dolphins have with Waddle and Hill. If Allen had that type of caliber #2 WR, Allen could be leading the league in passing.
  2. Agreed. If your #1 WR goes down due to injury, you need your #2 WR to step up and be able to produce. If Diggs was injured and had to miss time, how many people would feel confident Davis could handle the load of being the Bills #1 WR?
  3. Gabe has been inconsistent. He’ll have one good game, then go another three games of having 1-3 receptions. As stated before, he’s a good #3 WR, but not a good #2 WR as his route running is limited and has inconsistent hands. Not having a solid #2 WR is holding the offense back. Has it been since Moulds/Price since the Bills had a good #1/#2 WR combo?
  4. Don’t blame you as prices have gotten ridiculous for sporting events and concerts. Resale tickets make it even worse . Good question about the new stadium, hopefully the prices won’t be ridiculous.
  5. It’s a little over an hour drive for us. My son and I kept checking ticket prices throughout the week, but once we saw the weather reports, we decided against going. I took my son to see the Bills vs Jets in NJ in 2021, and we didn’t wear our Bills gear just avoid idiot fans. After going to game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals in DC (Sabres vs Capitals, 1998) and having an A-hole (who had his little girl in the front seat) try to run me and my wife off the road in his full sized SUV because he saw my Sabres jersey, I quit wearing Bills and Sabres attire for away games.
  6. Wanted to go, but didn’t want to be out in the rain all game long. To everyone that is going, have fun!
  7. When a player is on the field for over 90% of the offensive plays, doesn’t run a full route tree, doesn’t get open often and has inconsistent hands, would you throw him the ball that much? I wouldn’t! Davis is not a #2 WR in the league. He’s limited in what he can do and should be the #3 WR.
  8. He was on the field for over 90% of the plays. With that high of a percentage, he should be getting at least those amount of passes, if not more. But considering Davis doesn’t run a full route tree, he’s limited to what he can do and shouldn’t be the #2 WR.
  9. So it’s just that simple, Josh needs to throw it more to Davis? Even if Davis is not open and runs poor routes?
  10. Hopefully Daboll can get fired in NJ and the Bills can bring him back as the OC. Wishful thinking! In all seriousness, I hope the Bills can bring in a better QB coach or OC that can keep Josh streamlined.
  11. In the offseason, I posted concerns about the receivers on offense outside of Diggs. Most importantly, Davis. I felt Davis is a good #3 WR, but a below average #2. Had a bunch of people disagree with me, and had some rave about “Playoff Gabe,” make excuses about his ankle, and that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Well, it’s another year, had another game against a division opponent and had another below average game. You are 100% correct in your assessment about Davis. A #2 WR should be getting about 6-8 receptions a game and be able to take the pressure off the #1 WR, but Davis hasn’t been able to do that. I was really hoping for a legit #2 WR like Hopkins or someone else. IMO, Diggs’ best years are being wasted. If Diggs goes down with an injury, the Bills offense is toast.
  12. Figured I’d revisit this after the first game. Had 13 people disagree with me when I first posted this thread. Looks like Playoff Gabe only had two receptions and did not do anything to take the pressure off of Diggs. The other WR’s that were brought in didn’t do anything of significance. Sure, there’s blame on Dorsey and Allen, but this looked like the same crappy offense as it did against the Bengals.
  13. I’m waiting to comment until all the info becomes available. IMO, people are too quick to pass judgement. Look at the Araiza situation from last year and how that’s going now? If this turns out to be a bunch of garbage, you’ll see Terry sue Trotter (and others).
  14. Said that was a huge concern this offseason, but not everyone agreed. Still wished the Bills signed Hopkins or another WR to be a #2 WR and take the pressure off of Diggs.
  15. Unable to watch the game since I’m flying back from Seattle (via Alaska). Anyone mind saying what happens on the play, that way I can keep up. Thanks!
  16. The airline has their entertainment through their mobile app. They give you the option to purchase wifi for $8. They give you about 20 movies and some TV shows you can watch for free.
  17. I’m flying back from Seattle during the game tonight. Just finished our Alaskan cruise this morning. I didn’t see the option on YouTube to watch the game tonight (I have the NFL Sunday Ticket). Does anyone know if the ESPN app, or another website/app is showing the game tonight? Luckily the airline gives you the option to pay for wifi. Thanks!
  18. Thought Ateman and Johnson looked good in the preseason. I know we can’t keep everyone, but I’d rather have one of those guys over Shakir who struggled in training camp.
  19. Ateman and Shavers looked a lot better than Shakir, but I bet Beane will keep Shakir 😡
  20. 63 pages in and about 75 posts are about McDermott’s glasses 🤓
  21. Glad I’m at a concert instead of trying to watch this disaster!
  22. For the people that cried Josh and the starters shouldn’t play in the preseason…would you rather see a performance like this now or in the regular season?
