You could tell Diggs was upset multiple times during the season last year. IMO, he’s probably PO’d at the lack WR’s complimenting him and he’s tired of trying to carry this offense on his back. The Bills brought in lower end WR’s and drafted a TE, that’s nowhere near enough to take the pressure off of the double coverage Diggs constantly faces.

As a #2 WR, you have to be able to run all the routes in the route tree, Davis can only run three routes effectively. When your #1 WR is being taken out of the game due to double coverage, your #2 WR has to step up and make plays. In the Bengals playoff game, the Bengals double covered Diggs and limited to 4 catches for 35 yards, while Gabe Davis had 2 catches for 34 yards.

"Big Game Gabe" had 2 receptions for 34 yards against the Bengals in the playoffs last year. Betting on a rookie to make an immediate impact is always very risky!

The Chiefs won two Superbowls in four years, plus the Bengals whooped the Bills 27-10 in the playoffs. Bills also haven’t been able to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. Just stating the facts.

You make it sound like the Chiefs didn’t win the Superbowl last season.

Brought in a WR to battle it out for the #2 WR position, preferably a Veteran WR, someone that can run a full route tree (similar to how the Bills brought in Emmanuel Sanders). I’m still crossing my fingers the Bills can land Hopkins, but that’s on Hopkins and how much he’s willing to play for. Successful offenses have at least three good WR’s (Chiefs, Bengals come to mind). Enough of wasting all this capital (Draft picks or Free Agency) on the D-line!!!

IMO, the Bills have a #1 Diggs, #3 (but being used as a #2), Davis, but the rest of the WR’s are lower level WR’s. Sorry, but I have a hard time seeing these guys beat teams like the Bengals and Chiefs in the playoffs, especially after seeing the Bills only score ten points in the playoff game against the Bengals this past January.

While I’m glad to see the Bills try and address the O-line, I’m not sure they’ve done enough to give Josh good/quality targets. IMO, going in the season with Gabe Davis as the #2 WR is a mistake. Davis underperformed last season as he struggled with drops and contested catches. I feel Davis is a better #3WR than the #2 WR. Trusting a rookie TE to be your slot guy is a huge risk. Would rather see a veteran WR in that position while they break Kincaid into that role. I’m interested in seeing how the Bills use Harty and Sherfield, but neither guy has had eye-popping stats. If there are no further upgrades to the WR group going into the season, I have concerns about the WR’s outside of Diggs.

But, but…it doesn’t have a dome and it’s not going to be downtown 🥹🥲😢😭 In all seriousness, a huge thank you to the Pegula’s and everyone involved. Looking forward to sitting in more comfortable seats than the metal bleachers, as well as having some protection from the weather.

Hopefully the Bills will draft a WR in the first or second round of the draft. If they wait until the lower rounds again to draft a WR, then expect the same results on offense.

This is a nice piece to the WR puzzle, just as long as the Bills plan on adding more, whether in FA or the draft. Hopefully Harty is durable and doesn’t have a lot of drops. Having a speedy deep threat will help open up things underneath.

Beckham or Hopkins possibly? Maybe Bobby Wagner as well?

All of that is true, plus a lot of cheating. They had the perfect system. Only got slapped on a wrist for the few times they got caught cheating, but totally worth it as they won six championships.

Highly unlikely Shakir, a 5th round draft pick, will emerge as the #2 WR in year two of his NFL career.

I agree. Just my guess, McD is giving Frazier a pass with the season ending injuries to Von Miller and Micah Hyde.

McDermott is lining this guy up be the new DC in 2024. Guess the writing is on the wall for Frazier.

I agree 100% If the Bills pick a defender in any of the first three rounds this year, it would be a huge mistake.
