How did I contradict myself? Just because I didn't put "NFL Superstar" right next to McNabb's name that means I'm contradicting myself?! Why don't you learn reading comprehension. I also said "I doubt" the Eagles would take a 3rd rounder in exchange for McNabb as they would want a higher draft pick (meaning 1st or 2nd rounder). You are right about the window of opportunity for this team, we have about 3 to 5 years. But, regardless of who is the QB, we need another WR, if you think our group of WR's is good enough than you're crazy. We need a stellar WR to compliment Evans, whether it's Jennings or Houshmanzadeh (or how ever you spell his name). The last time we had a good offense was Bledsoe's first year when we had Moulds & Price. Having a big physical WR would be a perfect compliment to Evans. If Hardy develops, it will take him 3 or 4 years, especially with his recent ACL injury. If the Bills don't get upgrades on offense at the WR, TE & C position, we will have the same offense next year regardless of who's the coach and who's the QB is. Bottom line, Ralph will no longer give up a 1st or 2nd rounder. Read the article from the Buffalo news, it's not going to happen.

Did you just hear Keyshawn...

You talk about me with my questioning of the Bills FO not bringing in a veteran WR in the offseason and you're willing to trade away Trent Edwards & our #1 pick? I'm glad you're not the GM. -
http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/517889.html Ralph is still mad about giving up 1st round draft picks to move up in the draft from the Donahoe era, plus the highest we offered for Tony Gonzazlez was a 3rd rounder (Stroud - 3rd & 5th rounders), so Ralph is not going to let the Bills FO give up 1st & 2nd round picks. So, unless we try & trade for a NFL superstar, the highest you'll see the Bills give up is a 3rd rounder, and I doubt Philly will give up McNabb for a 3rd rounder or less.

Ralph is still pissed about giving away draft picks from the Donahoe era, so I highly doubt you'll see McNabb in a Bills jersey in 09'. -
Here are some good stats, Marshawn Lynch is tied for 10th in rushing with 1,002. But the one I really like is seeing our old buddy Trash at #36. I got so sick of hearing from people (especially the non-Bills fans) at what a great RB McGahee was in college and it was our O-Line's fault for him not being successful here in Buffalo. I'm just glad that Trash was able to continue to live off his college career long enough for us to dump him and get 3 picks from the Ravens for his sorry ass. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tab...mp;d-447263-n=1

Paper bags, signs & t-shirts showing our displeasure would be a good start. But low ticket sales for the 09' season is the best way to get Ralphie's attention.
-
If all of us want to really make a statement, then people should hold off from buy season tickets for next year right away. After the 2001-2002 season when we were 3-13, there was a small of amount of season tickets sold. Shortly after, Donahoe traded for Bledsoe and ticket sales went back up. Once Ralph sees a significant drop in ticket sales, him & the front office will be forced to make changes.

I'd take TJ Hoosyourmomma if we couldn't get Jennings. Our WR's are not getting the job done right now, which is why we need another weapon. Evans can't shake the double-teams and doesn't have the size to. (and yes, Steve Smith is 5'9", but he's an exception).

At least Munson got the very hot Ms. Claudia at the end.

Bringing in McNabb will be similar to when we brought in Bledsoe & also when the Ravens brought in McNair. We would see good results for a year, maybe 2, then he'll fizzle out like Bledsoe & McNair did. -
If Jauron is gone, then who?
Jerry Jabber replied to Casmolopitis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to see Haslett, Marvin Lewis or Romeo Crennel as our defense coordinator, but not as head coach. -
I think our offense needs a WR, TE & C. It would be great if we could land Greg Jennings or another top caliber WR in Free Agency. Lee Evans needs help, but IMO he's a #2 receiver, not a #1. Evans hasn't been able to put up consistent numbers every week. The last 2 weeks, Reed has been our most productive receiver. Parrish has been dropping a bunch of passes since his thumb surgery, so the Bills should keep him on special teams. A great scenario would be #1 WR Jennings, #2 WR Evans, #3 Reed, #4 Steve Johnson. Maybe with Hardy going on IR with an ACL injury, the Bills FO might actively look for a WR. I also hope the Bills FO get at least 1 better DE, if not, our pass rush will be a joke again next season even with Schobel back in the line up.

Lets settle on a new head coach
Jerry Jabber replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd take Norv Turner for our Offensive Coordinator and one of the 3 for Defensive Coordinator: Crennel, Lewis or Hazlett. Head coach: Cowher or Schottenheimer. -
I agree, Schobel is not worth the $50.5 million dollar (or whatever the amount was) contract he was given.
-
Is anyone thinking Bill Cowher?
Jerry Jabber replied to tedstrong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is he the guy that looks like Sgt. Slaughter (when he was younger and weighed about 100 lbs less?) -

Sounds good, but knows what direction Bills FO will go this offseason (probably draft more DB's)

What do you expect from the Bills this week?
Jerry Jabber replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Losman would be holding onto the ball way too long, run into one of the O-linemen and get sacked. -
I voted for Ralph. Ralph was burned by Lou Saban and felt Donahoe ran this organization into the ground so he's shell shocked now and is afraid to hire anyone that is demanding and someone who will stand up to him. Ralph only hires bobbleheads now that will just do and agree with everything he wants.
-
I agree. Last year Schobel had 6.5 sacks, this year he'll end up with 1 sack in 5 games. You don't pay a guy $7 million a year for that kind of production.

Who's this Mark guy?!

What do you expect from the Bills this week?
Jerry Jabber replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I expect Losman to continue to be Lostman by holding onto the ball too long, getting sacked & running into our own players. The defense will bust their butts and do another admirable job, but our offense will score 10 points or less.
