  1. You're right, some people take it to the extreme. There's no way in hell I'm burning my Bills merchandise!! But I still might cancel the NFL package though, it all depends on what moves are made in FA & the draft. I cancelled the NHL package last year when the Sabres failed to resign Drury and/or Briere, I just don't know if I could take another year of Jauron ball.
  2. LMAO!!! I say that to my kids when I hear them crying if they can't get want they want.
  3. Hate to say it, but I agree.
  4. Especially these: Aaron Schobel(DE) $0 $8,729,795 $0 $0 $0 NO Derrick Dockery(OL) $0 $6,356,720 $0 $0 $0 NO Langston Walker(OL) $0 $6,006,720 $0 $0 $0 NO Chris Kelsay(DE) $0 $5,000,000 $0 $0 $0 NO
  5. I agree with your assessment. Out of the 18 players listed, only 8 have earned their pay.
  6. He's a character allright!
  7. Bills salaries for 2008: http://www.sportscity.com/NFL/Buffalo-Bills-Salaries
  8. Or Ko Simpson, don't you know...he's worth millions!!
  9. If they were able to get Peppers or Suggs then nobody could say that were paying an average player pro-bowl type money. It would be nice if we picked up a DE in FA plus drafted a DE in the 1st round as well.
  10. I agree that we don't need average players and throw them pro-bowl type of money.
  11. I e-mailed Chris Brown from BB.com today and asked him about Hargrove. I'll probably hear back from Chris next week and give everyone an update.
  12. I agree that we need a solid replacement first before Schobel gets the boot. Like another poster has said, Schobel doesn't like to show up for off-season workouts which shows a lack of committment on his part to the team. And like you said, 32 years old next season, coming off the 2 worst years of his career and his current injury status.
  13. I still think Ralph still feels burned by Donahoe, Phillips and Saban and will be reluctant to bring in a good quality coach and/or GM. It would be great if we could land one of the above mentioned coaches as I think they could at least lead us to the playoffs, something we won't see as long as Dickie is the HC.
  14. 1988-1996, those were some good years to be a Bills fan.
  15. I just wish Ralph would get on the "Fire Jauron" bus...lol
  16. Yes, I've made other Schobel posts, but when I read the article, I had to make another thread to discuss the possible offseason surgery issues. I know you like Schobel and when he was healthy, he was a good player but even still, he wasn't worth the $8.7 million a year. IMO, it's time to cut him loose and move on.
  17. I agree with some of your points. I had to have career ending foot & ankle surgery when I was in the Marines and go through all the steps...different meds, physical therapy, steroid injections, foot in a cast, etc (military doctor's are a joke, glad a civilian did my surgery). To me, if Schobel needs surgery, this sets the team back and they need to have a plan ready. Last year's excuse for Schobel was that the D-line sucked, this year his injury, how long are the Bills gonna keep this guy & his high price tag before they cut him loose? If he can ever return to his pro-bowl form, then that would be great and I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong about him. But IMO, he's damaged goods and is highly overpaid.
  18. I agree, we need 2 good DE's. I'd keep Denney as a backup and cut Kelsay loose.
  19. At $8.7 million a year, he's not worth it. Schobel should be making what Kelsay is getting (at best).
  20. How about "No!!!" Favre needs to retire & stay retired!
  21. Then again, maybe this will be a blessing in disguise and the Bills FO will actually go out and get 2 DE's in the offseason.
  22. If he needs surgery, why didn't he have it sometime during the season when Bills management knew he was going to be on IR. Waiting until sometime in February to have surgery, plus 6 months of rehab will set him back big time. My point is, he's not worth the $8.7 million a year he's making, he's damaged goods and has lost a step.
  23. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...a4-57bc9933e88e "The two-time Pro Bowl defensive end is due back in Buffalo on Feb. 1 at which time he’ll be put through three days of hard football-related activity by the training staff. Then they’ll be a series of MRIs and x-rays to determine if the foot had made sufficient progress or if surgery needs to be performed. If surgery is the call, Schobel’s offseason will quickly become more challenging with a six month rehab process in front of him. And that’s why some outside observers are wondering if Buffalo’s top pass rusher will be able to recapture his Pro Bowl form". Great, they're waiting until February to determine is Schobel needs surgery or not. If that's the case, he'll be rehabbing until August and might not be ready to start the season. Even if he does come back at some point during the season, I can't see him being that effective.
