  1. Typical Hogan, can't catch a pass when we need him to!
  2. Woods is a good #3 or #4. As I said earlier in the thread, he is a good blocker, but he is too inconsistent as he drops passes, seems to run the wrong routes and trips/dives over himself. Hogan is too inconsistent and is slow, how many times have we've seen him catch the ball and need a few yards to make a first down and instead of going straight ahead, he'll try to slant and he'll come up short? Sorry, on a good NFL team, he's not a #3 or #4 WR. I didn't say anything about Clay, I'm talking about having a good TE behind him. So far, our TE's behind Clay have either been getting hurt or have been inconsistent. There are reasons why it's a great idea to have at least three good WR's: double-teams to the #1 WR and injuries. If your #1 or #2 WR gets injured and you don't have a good #3, then all defenses have to do is double team your starting WR, and there goes your passing game. This Bills season is a classic example of that.
  3. The Bills need more than just a #2 WR. At minimum, a #2 WR, a slot WR and a good #2 TE. IMO, Goodwin and Hogan wouldn't be on most NFL rosters.
  4. LMAO!! That skit was awesome as well! I like the sequel to that one as well. "Do you want to go to go war Blah-Kay?" "Go to O'Shaq-Hennessy's office!!!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDp-ABzpRX8
  5. Easley is the 4th rounder
  6. Great point. GB has an elite QB in Rodgers and has given him plenty of weapons to throw to. The Bills need to do the same as just having 1 very good WR is not going to cut it as teams are going to double-team that WR, as we've seen with Watkins, plus injuries (Harvin).
  7. I had to check and see if that was his real name "De'Runnya." I wasn't sure if that was a Key & Peele skit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gODZzSOelss The names parents give their kids these days. I'm surprised we haven't seen a "Loshon Bottles" yet.
  8. We already know we have a #1 WR in Sammy Watkins, but outside of Watkins, there is not a WR on the roster that has been reliable and consistent. IMO, the Bills should move on from Percy Harvin as he's been injured in his career too often, I give them credit for giving him a shot. Woods is not a #2 WR. Woods is a great blocking WR, but he is inconsistent as he drops a good amount of passes, seems to trip over himself or runs the wrong routes. Goodwin needs to be released as he cannot stay healthy. I had high hopes for him after his rookie season, but he's too brittle. Hogan is just like Woods, too inconsistent with his catches and when he tries to gain extra yards by slanting, he ends up losing yards (he needs to just keep going straight ahead). The Bills need a solid #2 WR to compliment Watkins, a tall WR, around 6'4"-6'5" who is a red zone threat, and a good, speedy slot WR. The Bills have not had a good #1 and #2 WR combo since Moulds and Price when they both had over 1,200 receiving that year. It also helped that they had a decent QB that year throwing to them. I don't know if Taylor can turn into a franchise QB, but the Bills desperately need a franchise QB if they ever want to dethrone the Patriots and have a real shot of making the playoffs again.
  9. This news is intriguing. I'm just curious if the Pegula's will do what they did with the Sabres and bring back a former player [Lafontaine] and put that person (who is completely unqualified like Lafontaine) in that "Football Czar" position and make him sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement three months later when that person does not agree with player/personnel decisions? I like the Pegula's, but they are new to owning sports franchises and are making their share of mistakes. I feel with Rex, is that the Pegula's really liked Rex's personality a lot, and that what really won them over. It made absolutely no sense to hire a defensive coach when your team ranked #4 in defense, so they should have been looking for an offensive coach. There's the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I just feel that the Bills will be stuck with Rex for another two more years and we will continue to see more of the same style of football, extending the playoff drought to 18 years or more before this whole thing gets blown up again.
  10. Trust me, I'm glad they care and they invest money into they team, I just wish they would make better decisions. It seems like they're trying to run their sports teams like their businesses and it just doesn't work.
  11. I hate to say it, but I could see the same scenario with the Sabres happening with the Bills. The Pegula's will throw a bunch of money into the team, but the results will stay the same. In about two or three years, they will have a complete overhaul, new GM, new coaches, new players, etc... So we might as well expect the playoff drought to extend, making it 19 or 20 years.
  12. After watching the Bills regress on defense this year and seeing Rex's game time decisions, I am convinced the Bills will not get back to the playoffs under Rex.
  13. 2012 Baltimore Ravens. My kids went to the same school as Torrey Smith here in VA. Torrey comes to their school at least once a year and talks with the kids. They said Torrey is really nice. Nothing would be sweeter to see the Bills as Super Bowl champs and Sabres as Stanley Cup champs.
  14. People act like no other NFL team has tanked before. Teams like the 49ers of the late 70s, Bills of the mid 80's and the Cowboys of the late 80's are all examples of teams that tanked, loaded up on talent in the draft and became powerhouses.
  15. The problem is the Bills haven't been that lucky to draft a QB in the 2nd round that has panned out. Whether that's scouting, the GM's decision, management/coach/ownership decision, but one thing is for sure, it's been almost 19 years since we last had a franchise QB, and what the Bills have been doing over that time span has not been working.
  16. And for every Losman, there's a Holcomb. For every Edwards, there's a Fitzpatrick. For every Fitzpatrick, there's a Manuel. Or maybe it's just the Bills dumb luck! I hate to say it, but you're probably right!
  17. The Bills have been developing a QB since 1997.
  18. If the Bills were tanking all of this time, they would have been finishing 2-14 or 3-13 vice 6-10 or 7-9 and would have been drafting in the Top 5 every year.
  19. Still avoiding the question Captain...
  20. If they didn't "tank" then they got lucky to get Luck. What's your bright ideas on getting a franchise QB? QB fairy? QB Claus?
  21. I remember how that season went Captain Obvious. I was using it as an example of how the Colts went from being a consistent playoff contender, to having the worst record the following year when Manning got hurt. But apparently, I had to fully describe in detail why the Colts were as bad as they were that year in order for you to get the point. I'm sorry that you're that dense and you need someone to fully explain things to you. I get it, you're totally against the tanking idea. We'll, I'm tired of being a bottom feeder, getting beat twice a year by the Patriots and seeing other teams in the playoffs year after year while the Bills are on the golf course. If you don't feel that you need to draft in the Top 3 to get a franchise QB, then good on you Captain. Maybe the Bills will get lucky enough in finding a teams backup or reaching for a QB in the draft and that QB will turn into the QB we've been looking for since January 1997 (guess what, that strategy hasn't worked so far!!)
  22. So, you keep ranting about "who," but when I ask you what your ideas are you come back with a childish answer. Have a nice day troll!
  23. Look for the Bills had as their GM's when they finished 3-13, 5-11 and 4-12, Tom Donahoe and Boss Hogg, excuse me, Buddy Nix. Donahoe drafted Mike Williams when the Bills finished at 3-13 (colossal bust), traded up to get Losman and gave up the following years 1st round pick to Dallas (which could have been used to draft Aaron Rodgers) and Boss Hogg drafted Marcel Dareus when the Bills finished 4-12. The Class of 83' was a deep QB draft, not all drafts are like that. Montana was a 3rd round pick and so was Russell Wilson, but that doesn't mean all QB's taken in the third round turn out to be Superbowl winning QB's, sometimes luck is involved. Sometimes, players fall in the draft for whatever reasons and that player turns out to be a dominant player, while other teams passed on him in the draft. Karlos Williams is our latest example of that. Teams passed on Gronkowski because of his previous injuries. So, what are your bright ideas on getting a franchise QB that will turn the Bills into the AFC East champs?
