I thought both our running offense and running defense had great games.
On O we rarely had defensive linemen in the backfield disrupting plays which has become commonplace and they were opening up huge holes in the run game.
On D we really stuffed their run game all day long including 2 huge 4th down plays and down by the goalline late in the game. I only remember one big run they have where they looked like they called a perfect play to catch us in a blitz and we ran right by the ballcarrier.
Most of the day we were keeping them in 2nd and 3rd and longs when they tried to run the ball.

The Broncos Saints game is setting back offensive football 30 years.
It is brutal.

This is the biggest takeaway for me.
I just pray it carries over and they can get back to that 16-17 pts a game average again like last year headed into the playoffs.
D has really picked it up since the Chiefs game when they decided to become more aggressive.

The only way to get a player like that is to draft top 2-3.
Really?
JJ Watt was drafted 11th.
TJ Watt was drafted 30th.
Aaron Donald was drafted 13th.
Clearly this is not true.

Like the way he finds holes.
Dislike his lack of breakaway speed.
Like his blocking.
Dislike his tendency to fumble.
Like the way he picks up yards in chunks.
Dislike that he can't seem to find the end zone.
Is he a legit starter?
Is he "just a guy"
Is he a victim of poor run blocking?
Enlighten me.
It was his first fumble this year. In his 11th game. Thinking you might need to change thr narrative on tendency to fumble. That was last year. Hasn't been a problem this year.

Somehow it is 0-0 at the end of the 1st Q

That was as dominant of a game as I've witnessed a defensive player have against Buffalo in a very long time. Maybe ever.
Do you remember the JJ Watt game against EJ where he picked off the ball and returned it 80 yards for the TD?
He was unstoppable that game.

Any play that calls for Dawson Knox to block Bosa should probably be thrown out of the playbook.

And he was almost our HC over McDermott - and people (rightfully) complain about McDermott’s clock management.... yikes, what I saw from Lynn should be fireable right now
McD is not bad he is probably average compared to other coaches.

The refs were actually wrong on several calls in this game and they were undisciplined.
That call on Moss was a headscratcher...initially I thought he threw the ball at the Charger defender when he got up but then the other angle showed he threw it nowhere near him and he was just giving the ball back...that was a terrible call.

these are professionals, chargers actually have a good team and played tough. bills came out of the bye not as prepared and played like it.
to sit there and try and find every reason they should of lost is, well, just like a bills fan, or some anyway.
8-4
on to the 49ers.
enjoy all that cheese with your whine!
8-3 bro...8-3.

But then they become nail biters because of dumb penalties that allow the drives to continue, or we get the first down ourselves, but then is called back due to penalties on us.
What were there 3 Unsportsmanlike calls and 2 roughing passer calls?
If you watch enough other games you would see that is kinda the norm not the exception.

Amd we just saw an entire season worth of clock management mistakes in this game by Anthony Lynn...that is why they are 3-8

I dunno...I see other teams that so the same things in some games. I think it's a game to game thing and I don't really see this a lot in comparison to other teams.
I think this is a situation where we watch the Bills very closely every game and we see bits and pieces of other games and we make generalizations based on seeing 100% of Bills games versus maybe 5-10% of other teams games.

A lot of it is because teams are playing catch up and they allow some garbage time scores that make the game closer but don't change the outcome.
Not saying they have been great but it isn't as bad as the numbers suggest.

The D in general but especially Klein.
Tre for holding Allen to basically nothing.
Gabe Davis for the TD and nice Moss'd catch on the offside play
Bills RBs
Offensive Run blocking
-
Not a pretty win but it still counts the same...
Needed this as both Fins and Pats won today
-
Anyone trashing Klein still?

They were gashing them on runs too...gotta hold
-
What decision was that by Lynn? Why not kick a FG and make it a 1 score game?? Just bad coaching.

Nope. Kellen Winslow aside, TE was a very different position before the late 90’s though. If those stats get a TE to the probowl that says something about how the position has evolved.
Actually his best season was his 1988 rookie year where he got 575 yards but no pro bowl that year...the next 2 he made the pro bowl with around 400 yards each season(one was in the 380s and the other maybe like 440s)
Then he basically did nothing the rest of his career...

Has anyone mentioned how the Bills have stashed Jake Fromm this year for this exact scenario?
Very smart...Bills pre-planned for almost any scenario...

Well that was a drive that ended poorly...but we got 3 to make it a 2 score game...and we get the ball to start the 2nd half.
Most importantly Allen is back.

21 throws in the first half sure is a lot... Hasn't Lynn watched any film on the Bills D?
The Bills run D has been pretty good so far...a few runs for 1 or 2 yards and a couple for losses...

Played flat. Still won. This is a good thing. `

Honestly today's game was kind of boring from a football standpoint. No real flashy plays minus the Beasley trickeration but a lot of solid football plays.
Then they decided to go on a turnover barrage but the D played very well down the stretch to hold them in ✔ and bailed out the O getting a turnover of their own back in the process.
Chargers only got 3 points off the 3 TOs which is pretty remarkable.
We were a little lucky Lynn passed up a 43 yard FG attempt on 4th and 1 earlier because if they make that we are playing the end of the game to prevent the tie rather than a meaningless score.
