He also punted on 4th and 1 after acting like he was going to go for it and then wasted a TO when the play clock got down to one instead of just taking the 5 yard penalty and then punt…. His aggressiveness was awesome against the Patriots… but I feel he’ll go back to his conservative roots when the game isn’t going their way…. And Hyde sucked back there.
Against a team where a 3 point lead seemed insurmountable. Context bro...context.

People may be shocked and the reason might be crazy since he lost a power struggle with he GM partially because Ross is never there to actually see what's going on, but realistically, how can a team hope to go anywhere when the top dog(Bills) in the division blows them out twice a year? I mean, you can't just have two automatic L's on the schedule every year in the division, and that is pretty much what they have been under Flores. Games are not even competitive for the most part. Honestly I am sad to see him go because they had no chance of beating us with him as the coach.

And my point was "not exactly." The pace dropped and the consistency dropped after week 10.
19 targets in 2 of his last 7 games.
22 targets in the other 5.
Over half his targets have come in 5 games.
Knox has seen more involvement. 3 fewer targets then Beasely the last 7 games.
20% of Allen's targets have been to Davis and Sanders combined.
Beasely has played on 61% of the snaps and has 17% of the targets.
Allen has a little over 50% completion percentage to Davis.
It's over 75% to Beasely.
My other point is, which those Stats show, I think he isn't involved enough.
Just ignore depth of target why don't you...

Good for him but his erratic throwing has me concerned going into the playoffs. The Falcons and Jets secondary is horrendous.
Wind related. His stats with the wind and against the wind are night and day.
It's not like the other QB is putting up huge numbers and he is sucking. It effects both teams.

I'm worried and very concerned right now about a lot of things and it would be so Billsy for this team to exit the playoffs early with a top defense not being able to compensate for a woeful offense which just one year again it was the exact opposite.
Just hope this entire coaching staff understands that any chance we have of making a serious run is an aggressive gameplan that doesn't involve wasting carries on Zack Moss and other gimmicky gadget crap that can lead to turnovers and big loss of yardage.
Let Allen be who he was against the Pats a few weeks ago and feed singletary exclusively.
A woeful offense? Where do people come up with this sh!t from?
We scored 57 TDs, the same as the Chiefs, tied for 4th in the NFL.
We were 5th in the NFL on offense averaging 381.9 yards per game and 3rd in scoring averaging 28.4 points per game, which by the way, put us first in the AFC. Only Dallas and TB were ahead of us.
So please tell me...how were we "woeful" on offense?
Maybe you should watch more games because clearly you haven't seen some other teams play offense.
Yesterday might have been the most punts all year and we still rolled up 430 yards of offense and 27 points.
Honestly don't even respond...just GTFO with that bullcrap.

Not really with the bad weather games, also compared to the rest of the league b.c you cannot really compare last year. You need to compare to the league this year.
You can keep down voting facts all you want. Apparently you have some alternative facts you have at your disposal now that the real ones have been posted and they don't side with your theories.

2007 Patriots had a net point differential of +315, the all time record...
In fact, there were 3 Patriot teams with a better point differential than the Bills had this year...2007, 2012(+226 - 10th all time), and 2019(+195 - 26th all time)
Bills ranked 27th since 1970...however they rank 17th in defensive PPG in that list...Steelers averaged a mind blowing 9.9 PPG on defense in 1976 when they led the NFL with a +204 point differential

The entire defense plays better than the sum of it's parts...not sure if any of these players would be great by themselves other than Tre, and maybe Milano, but the way they play as a unit is something to behold...they are a well oiled machine on defense.

OK. There were 10 teams that finished with more passing yards than the Bills did this year. Last year there were only 2 teams that did.
There were 7 teams that finished with more passing TDs than the Bills did this year. Last year there were only 2 teams that did.
Allen threw more interceptions this year, fewer TDs, had a lower completion percentage, and MUCH lower Y/A(from 8 to 6.8 from 5th to 23rd this year).
Not sure on what basis you claim it wasn't a step back but literally there is no statistical category the Bills were better in this year passing than last year.

I don't think you understood what people were saying. The passing game has actually been really good this year. Bad weather played a part and still Josh put up huge passing numbers.
No...last year the passing game was great. Allen put up more yards in less games. This year it took a step back.

Perennial contender? Let's not get too crazy here.
Buffalo is traditionally seen as the garbage dump of the league and we were irrelevant for an entire generation of football fans.
And then the current regime came in and turned it all around.
So there is going to be automatic interest in anyone and everyone associated with that.
But these hiring teams are going to interview others as well and we don't know if we'll lose anyone yet for real.
The Giants are, more or less, a historically very well run franchise, too.
I still can't believe they did that.
It's what happens when old owners would rather have "people they feel comfortable with" rather than the best person for the job.

I agree 💯. It’s looked improved in recent weeks…..but vs bad defenses. Not sure I confidant I am in our run game (minus 17) vs a top 12 run D
Bills ran 7 times for 64 yards against Tampa Bay outside of 17.

The problem isn’t him running, it’s the hits he takes. Just get down and stop trying to barrel through guys for a few extra meaningless yards. He doesn't take all that many hits, TBH

Hard to tell if it's just a token Rooney Rule interview if these are real interviews. He definitely deserves to be in the mix for a head coaching job. Just wondering if teams look at his tenure with the Vikings and age, and don't think he is the answer.

You're missing the point. We are talking about a team being fit to win a super bowl.
The Colts don't have good QB play, very different team and they play in a dome.
The Bills need to run especially in cold weather. Their RBs were so ineffective it hurt the team. Hopefully the improvement sticks but it is still the weakness of this team and may doom us in poor weather.
Sounds like "get off my lawn" guy.
Join us in the 2021 version of the NFL not 1973 version that you apparently still reside in.

Well remove Allen them show the numbers. Also, the issue is that we also choose not to run, like vs TB we didn't have a single RB run in the 1H.
It's the modern NFL, that makes no sense...QB running has become a huge part of the run game for many teams.

I mean seriously usually coaches actually have to have a few bad seasons in a row before they get shown the door. If this is the kind of topics we get in a division winning 11-6 season I'm not looking forward to whenever we actually have a bad one and have a losing record.
People are simply delusional these days. I will blame COVID brain on it. People aren't thinking straight.

Yes, this is from last week. I'm sure something will come out in due time for yesterday's game as well. There are also breakdowns available from other games throughout this season. Lets make this perfectly clear one last time. This isn't subjective. This is proven expert analysis of a man who understands the roles and responsibilities of all NFL defenses, let alone the Bills. Look at his body of work. Take the time. Its not something you can really have an opinion on. Edmunds had by far his best season in 2021. He's not elite and may never be, but he's in the upper echelon and certainly accomplishes what the team needs him to do. Barring an unforseen regression or injury next year, he's staying a Bill beyond that. Period. Deal with it.
The man just covered a WR in man coverage and was on him like glue. I'm not sure how many LB's in the NFL would be able to handle that, but I doubt it is very many.

Once again... Edmunds is close, but fails.
I'm not talking about the touchdown... I'm talking 3rd and 3, he penetrates and fails to make the tackle.
He is good. But he is not an impact LB.
Against the pass he absolutely is. I suggest you get a better understanding of what his role is in the Bills D. You clearly don't seem to have that.

Please stop with these "Here is our overall stat from the entire season so there must not be a problem" posts. The cumulative stats tell us NOTHING.
If folks dont see a huge consistency problem with the way our Offense operates then that's on you.
Decision making and playcalling in very specific times is the issue. Not the overall stats that were heavily padded by a few blowouts against cupcakes.
The only place where we struggle to run the ball well is inside the redzone, which is something that needs to be addressed either via playcalls or via offensive line.
3 minutes ago, KingBoots8 said:The biggest gripe people will have is that nearly 40% of the rushing is done by our QB. He attributed 770 yards out of 2210 total rush yards this year. Situationally it’s fine of course, but our lead rusher Singletary had only 100 more yards than Josh.
Honestly i just wish we could execute runs when needed by the guys employed to do so. Devin has looked great this year when he can be consistently used. Moss hasn’t been the same back since his injury last year (something I think people gloss over or forget entirely).
Despite his 4.6 YPC, nobody fears Singletary. I’m not sure why he isn’t more heavily involved, but I suspect it may do with his butterfingers he has the previous 2 years. We all know McD hates fumbles.
Moss is like Frank Gore was for us… if you need 2 yards, he will get 2 yards. If you need 4 yards, he will get you 2 yards. He won’t fumble though!
Breida is there. That’s about it.
Welcome to the new NFL. Get used to it.

The issue is we have trouble running the ball in obvious running situations. Allen's scrambles in passing situations account for the strong rushing numbers. But that's not a sustainable approach to offense in the playoffs.
Just not born out in any situation really...only times when we have 1st and under 10 yards to go.
On 1st and 10, we rushed 193 times for 849 yards, 4.4 YPC
On 2nd and 1-3, we averaged 4.1 YPC
On 2nd and 4-6, we averaged 4.8 YPC
On 2nd and 7-9, we averaged 5.8 YPC.
The only place we were poor in running the ball was in the redzone and especially inside the opponent 10 yard line where we averaged 3.3 YPC and 2.2 YPC respectively. That's where we need to improve. On rushes between the 20's we averaged over 5 YPC

Might not be a bad idea considering the Pats gave up almost 250 more rushing yards than the Bills "terrible" run D did this season.
