Whoa...maybe not so fast... Fangio saying "nothing has been decided on my end" and reports are that he is eyeing a job with the 49ers since he has a good relationship with Shanahan, his long time GF works there and there is a good chance of a job opening with Ryans supposedly the top candidate for the Texans job... https://sports.yahoo.com/vic-fangio-might-not-joining-140039677.html

Perhaps Kromer is overrated as an OLine coach?

So working on preventing his lineman from missing their blocks completely way too often wasn't his domain? Got it... -

The difference in Allen's pocket times were negligible. 2.5 this year, 2.4 last year. Not much of a difference. I will say the numbers for hits, hurries and sacks looks much better this year than it did last year, but the eye test this year looked much worse than last year. Per game, Allen averaged 2/3/2 sacks/knockdowns/hurries versus 2/4/6 last year, however Allen also averaged 4 more attempts/game last year as well. Interesting tidbit as well...Mahomes consistently has more poor passes per game than Allen has over the last 3 years...he has averaged 1 more poor pass per game than Allen each of the last 3 seasons. -

But the fact remains the Bills identified this as a point of weakness and wanted to get better and they got worse... -

1 and he went 7-9 three straight seasons with Prime Brees. No thanks. He isn't close to as good as everyone makes him out to be.

Would you resign Edmunds or a tackle?
Big Turk replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds is likely gone...someone is going to pay WELL above $11 million a year for him and the franchise tag is $20.9 million, so that isn't a realistic option either. Only hope is if he pulls a Milano and takes less to stay...he openly said how much he loves it here, how he loves the team, the coaches and the locker room...I guess we will see just how much. Perhaps a 6 or 7 year deal that gives him more in guarantees but helps save some money? Trade longer term and more guarantees for less overall money? -
I'm much more interested in why there are never "forward motion" penalties against WRs at the snap when they go in motion since when you watch games 80% of the time time the player is angling toward the line of scrimmage at the snap of the ball. Those are penalties but they are never called.

Purdy torn UCL out 6 months, seeking 2nd opinion

6 months is right around the start of training camp. Why would this timeframe be "bad"? -
Reassessing the Over-Reactions to the Divisional Round
Big Turk replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was one of the points I made as to why Hurts isn't even in the same stratosphere in terms of Allen when discussing MVP candidates. -
Nah, they can make moves to free up space pretty easily. They probably will have to choose between Edmunds and Poyer, but after that if someone doesn't get re-signed it's because they don't believe what he is asking for is equal to his actual value. And that's a thing too, FYI. If someone is going to get a crazy offer in UFA, either you are going to choose to overpay them or you are going to let someone else choose to overpay them. I'd rather it be someone else.

More than anything Philly benefitted from playing a 4th string QB and then no QB most of the day. -
Yeah, a whole 200K less. Give me a break.

Im convinced its coaching (Chiefs showing how to handle Bengals)
Big Turk replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cincy should be used to idiotic personal fouls on defense moving teams into FG range to kick season ending FG's in the playoffs. Ossai was just channeling his inner Vontaze Burfict and Pacman Jones. It's just what they do. -

Works fine in the regular season. It's not the scheme, it's the passiveness they call it with in the playoffs due to being too scared to give up big plays -
Dawkins, Saffold and Knox added to Pro Bowl

This is basically look at what teams had good records and put up big passing stats and just add their players -

Hurts looked massively overrated yesterday...basically looked like a very VERY poor man's Josh Allen when healthy without the ability to stiff arm DLinemen to the ground or run over LBs. Basically like a 70% Josh Allen. -

We didn't have Von Miller last year and they scored 20 points in the same year they scored 42 in the playoffs. -

Its a playoff thing. Look at the games against KC. Regular season we play them tough and hold them to 20 points both games. Post season we play them afraid and loose and give up 38 and 42 points. They simply need to play and call the game the same way they do during the regular season.
