Treylon Burks hurt his knee yesterday and was carted off. The report this morning was it was an LCL sprain and that he would miss a few weeks but should be ready by the start of the season.

Bills practice Thurs 8/17 starting with McD interview
Big Turk replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
No offense but Arizona kinda sucked last year and Kliff Kingsbury's schemes left a lot to be desired. -
It is irrelevant to play-action's success rate as to how well you run the ball. In the clips that were shown, outside of the one turfed throw to McKenzie in the Fins game, none of those receivers looked open at all, which explains why he was holding the ball so long...Dorsey needs to be doing copious film study on successful offenses at the goal-line and their play designs and copy them. There really isn't an excuse as to why the Bills are so bad down there. They were 12th best success rate on runs down there at 64%, meaning they were above average.
-
If I was Dorsey I would have spent the entire off-season looking at the 5 best teams at the goal-line and basically taking plays from them to put in. Those rankings are abysmal and it's really inexcusable considering how effective the Bills are on offense everywhere else.

Great read... It hasn't been the goal-line runs, they have actually been +0.22 EPA/Play. Interestingly and surprisingly, the problem has been Allen's passing at the goal-line. Josh Allen goal line efficiency rankings over last 2 years(ranking is out of 26 qualifiers): #26 in EPA/play (-0.95) #25 in success rate (31%) #25 in YPA (0.4) #23 in completion rate (35%) What if we include scrambles? Including scrambles, the only QB worse on an EPA/play basis at the goal line was Taylor Heinicke. As a team, one of 32, the Bills rank near the bottom in several important metrics. Bills goal line efficiency rankings: #30 in EPA/dropback, ahead of only the Commanders and Bears #30 in success rate, ahead of only the Commanders and Steelers #32 in early down EPA/dropback Josh Allen's time to throw at the goal-line is 3.14 seconds(3rd longest)...league average is 2.41 seconds. Mahomes is 2.22 seconds. His completion rate at the goal-line is only 34.6%, 4th worst in the NFL. Mahomes is best in the NFL at 77.6% If Allen wants to take the next step, this seems like a prime area he should be focused on... https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/bills-josh-allen-goal-line-struggles-offense-nfl/

Practice fight (8/15) - Helmets are swinging
Big Turk replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually factually incorrect. Fluoride only helps with tooth decay by being ON the teeth themselves. As in swishing it around in your mouth and then spitting it out. It is harmful to the body to get in large doses as is found in the water. It does ZERO good for teeth protection by ingesting it. -
They have a death wish. They think they are cool...wonder how cool they think they are when their head hits the concrete at 60 mph. That being said wearing a helmet at that speed basically just ensures your brain won't be splattered all over the road, not sure it's going to do much for you.

That may be, but the larger point still stands. What would be a minor fender bender with no injuries in a car turns into major life threatening injuries or someone ending up dead on a motorcycle.
-
That's why I would never ride one. Doesn't matter how safe you are or how many precautions you take. Too many people in cars or trucks don't pay attention these days and are liable to hit someone on a bike or motorcycle.
-
Apparently died in a motorcycle crash... Seems kinda surreal as I just had him a few years ago on my fantasy team when he was starting with injuries to the RBs and doing really well... https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/former-nfl-usfl-running-back-alex-collins-dies-at-28

Ask yourself...does it make sense that a person worth over $200 million would try and get a few bucks off a kid they took in? Tuohy responded and said they made about $14K apiece and it was split equally including with Oher. Additionally he said they did the conservatorship because that was the only way they could adopt him under state law with the circumstances they had.

Ezekiel Elliot to Pats on 1 year up to $6 million deal
Big Turk replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude is mostly through...good deal for him tho. -
Is Matt Barkley a better fit than Kyle Allen in this offense?
Big Turk replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The rule only applies to a QB who is carried on the 53 man roster, not a QB who is called up from the PS. I highly doubt many teams will do this. The bottom of the roster spots are too valuable for special teams to have a guy taking one up that will almost never play. -
Seems like a money grab after the fact. They had no way of knowing he would be in the NFL when they took him in. I mean maybe there is some wrong on their side that occurred after the fact once big time money got involved with the movie tho...

Potentially Cook and Davis. Apparently Davis has looked amazing all camp. Of he can stay injury fre he could be in for a big year...contract year so wouldn't be a surprise.

Tommy Doyle INJURY ????????????????????????????
Big Turk replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure how getting rolled up on from behind could be avoided when your back is turned. -
I think he hit Shakir right in the hands on a 3rd and 5 where he was wide open and easily had the first and he dropped it.
-
Kinda a ho-hum game. if Kyle Allen continues to struggle, Barkley may take his job, he looked pretty good today, albeit against mostly 3rd and 4th stringers. Still, a 154 rating with only 1 incompletion and 2 TD passes is good no matter who it's against.

Jonny Manziel documentary on Netflix is great
Big Turk replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Manziel believed the hype about himself and thought everything would come easy like it had his whole life. Seems like he finally has realized his mistakes and if he uses them to grow as a person and as a man then I commend him for it. -
If Kincaid can fill the slot role of this team...
Big Turk replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously had hope but realistically I knew it was over. -
Athletic freak that is faster than Allen but is very inconsistent and might not ever be that good. Will depend on how hard he wants to work to develop and how capable he is of changing what needs to be changed. Could see him being Zach Wilson 2.0

If Kincaid can fill the slot role of this team...
Big Turk replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Based on how the game had gone up to that point what have you any confidence that either defense would have done that? Whoever had the ball first in OT was winning that's game. -

Big Turk replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills O never touched the ball in OT. Virtually all rules favor the offense why would anyone think the defense should ever win in those matchups?
