  1. Most of those books are not actually written by the players, they are written by ghost writers or actual writers who publish it "as told to me by player X"
  2. Dick Jauron...how the heck did that incompetent dude get a team with no offense in Chicago to a 13-3 record.
  3. People are so clueless it's astounding. And I'm sure the poster has never played sports in his life, even as a kid.
  4. TV Contracts have changed the game. But those TV contracts have only grown because the NFL is a national addiction like crack cocaine was back in the 80s.
  5. Huh? A player has to actually play in NFL games for other teams to think he is valuable. Exactly how would this happen unless Allen is injured? This makes no sense. Is this another "Madden GM Strategy" that doesn't work in the real world?
  6. Tickets aren't even close to the highest revenue source. TV contracts are and it's not even close...probably something like 10-20x what ticket revenue would be if not more. Last year every team got almost $375 million JUST from TV contract revenue. Ticket sales aren't even close to that. In other words, almost 65% of ALL revenue generated by the NFL came from TV contracts. Everything else combined including ticket sales, merchandise sales, concessions, sponsorships, etc came to 35%.
  7. Tua is good when he plays teams that go for all the nonsense and misdirection they run because it opens up big windows for him to throw into so he doesn't have to try and fit balls into tight windows which he has issues with due to lack of arm strength. What happens when he plays good defenses tho is they jam the WRs at the line, force him to come off his first read and force him to beat them with tight window throws. No surprise he usually falls on his face because you are forcing him to play to his weakness rather than his strength.
  8. Huh? I think you have no concept of how this works. The players salaries are fully covered by the money the owners get from TV contracts and other revenue sources from the league. The only thing the owners have to cough up is the signing bonuses up front. The NFL generated almost $20 BILLION in revenue last year and it's BY FAR the highest revenue generating sports league in the world. By 2028 they are expecting to be over $25 Billion and are "ahead of the pace they thought they'd be at" in regards to that happening. That means each team is getting 1/32nd of a very large portion of that. Do the math. Highly doubt any owner is going to have to call the bank for a loan anytime soon.
  9. Love. He doesn't have the physical limitations Tua has.
  10. C'mon man...who are you referring to? Cam Newton? Who injured his shoulder that derailed his career in a car accident not on the field? Keep hearing about this nonsense but who exactly are we talking about? Josh isn't a "running QB". It's just another aspect to his game. He can beat you whatever way he chooses to beat you.
  11. One less thing to worry about...one less thing to worry about...
  12. LMAO!!! Fins never winning the division now...by year 3 they will be a barely .500 team.
  13. Who cares? If Allen goes down our chances of winning a Super Bowl go to near Zero. I'd rather get a higher draft pick in all honesty than win meaningless games.
  14. Ah...that's correct...thank you. Cruyff was starring on those teams not coaching.
  15. Sounds like the "Total Football" concept made famous by the great teams in the Netherlands in the mid 70s and 80s under Johan Cruyff and then FC Barcelona... Players don't have a position and are pretty much free to go wherever they want and their teammates are expected to see, react and cover them. Basically it required great spatial awareness to be able to see openings and both exploit them on offense and cover them on defense. Will be interesting to see what Brady's concepts look like with this transferred to the NFL.
  16. Allen has a lower interception percentage tho
  17. How is he going to move off his spot when he is in the motion of throwing?
  18. Except in the one moment we really needed him and he gets shoved into Josh Allen causing his TD to a wide open Shakir to fall short
  19. Considering the Bills have the 2nd best wining percentage in all 4 major sports over the last 5 years, exactly how often can it be?
  20. You should look into Berberine. Far more beneficial overall in the body effecting a wide range of systems than Metformin and actually outperforms Metformin in clinical studies in the one thing it's actually supposed to do well. I'm 49 and as someone who is in good enough shape to compete in fitness shows for my age, I hear you on that...constantly fighting some sort of nagging injury or muscle strain or something that just doesn't feel right. Sucks, but all you can do is delay the inevitable. I have a pretty comprehensive supplement regimen and virtually all natural diet tho so that definitely helps. I also do 5:2 fasting where I do what amounts to a 30-36 hour fast twice a week. I'm in better shape than I was in my 20s or 30s but I sure don't feel better on a day to day basis 🤣
  21. Unlikely. Much more likely an incompetent software engineer pushed something out due to lax policies for testing changes before pushing out to production... Coming from a Senior DevOps engineer.
  22. He may not have but he will soon. Father Time is undefeated.
