  1. You and me, water.
  2. Hope Johnson plays instead of TO (maybe they paid him extra to sit out). See what Steve's got. But you have to conclude from this that Hardy is a bust if he still can't make it onto the field. Shouldn't you at least try a second-round pick, even if you think he's gonna crap out?
  3. Sorry, it's Warrick. My bad.
  4. According to USA Today, former Bucs and Falcons RB, Warren Dunn, has been approved by the NFL as a minority owner of the Atlanta franchise. These things are great to see, because you hear so many stories of athletes blowing their money. Warren must have invested his. Wonder if any of the Bills are in a position to buy a piece of the pie. You keep hearing Kelly talking, but...
  5. Am I the only one a little intrigued by Michael Lombadi, who has publically stated that the Bills need to draft and sign FAs with the philosophy in mind of winning those late season and playoff games in cold weather ie big, dominating lines, big running backs and a strong-armed QB At least we know what he'd bring, a FO, coaches and players with this approach in mind.
  6. From what I've seen, McLain in first and Pike in second would be interesting.
  7. Thanks for the info. Makes me feel better, though I'm still a little concerned.
  8. Never saw the guy play, but it IS bad news for the Bills if only because in a year that most fans thinks we need a new QB, there will one fewer from which to choose. He would have gone before the Bills pick and that means someone else will go instead, possibly someone the Bills could really use, a QB, a LB or lineman who would fit perfectly in Buffalo. It also moves Tony Pike - the QB I would be interested in drafting - a little more up the board, which means he will probably be gone by the time we draft in the second round (and not worth drafting with an early pick in the first.)
  9. Yeah, no more right tackles in the first round. (See the McKinnie/Mike Williams fiasco.)
  10. Worst offensive play calling I've ever seen. Seeing Haley go back and forth on all those 4th and short decisions was hilarious. Hope we don't end up with another jackass coordinator like TH. They literally gave that game away.
  11. Agree with McLain's prospects and even at 10 or 11, we will have a shot at him. Also agree with the OP's point about Whitner making that bad angle. Honestly, he looks like he's afarid of making a one-on-one tackle anymore, after getting Sammy Morrised last year.
  12. On board with that, McLain in 1 and OL in 2. Very revealing if Stroud called for a MLB. But we all knew Poz was slow.
  13. Soft team. #1 thing that has to change.
  14. We need a GM first and though Dungy might be the GM instead of coaching, either way we'd be stuck with the boring Tampa 2 defense (along with P. Fewell). That to me is NOT blowing up this franchise and starting over. We need a football mind at the top who brings in toughness, cold weather ball. This is not Tampa and we don't have a dome.
  15. Add Tony Pike to those who fit Tuna's criteria.
  16. Very interesting. Most want the GM, as do I. That is what Buffalo needs - a football mind to set the philosophy and hire others can put it into action, HC being whoever the GM thinks can do it. Hope Ralph is listening, but since Russ is still in place, I guess he isn't.
  17. Thanks for the brilliant input.
  18. From what I saw, among the ones who can play are: Tony Pike QB Sr. Cinci 6'6 great arm, three productive years Mardy Gilyard WR Cinci game-breaker Renaldo McClain LB Bama what we need most Mark Ingram RB Bama Mr. Suh DT Nebraska but he'll go first or second among the ones who can't (better to say, won't be NFL stars, I guess) are: Brandon Spikes LB Florida Tim Tebow QB Florida Colt McCoy QB Texas Your views? (Hope our next GM was watching yesterday)
  19. Agree with both your points. Pike is intriguing, yet I haven't seen much about him being a first round pick. To me, he seems better than any of the other QB prospects in college. As far as that RB of Pitt scoring, I thought Kelly definitely told his defense, "let this knucklehead score NOW," because that was the only way they would ever be able to tie the score. You could tell they just let him walk in. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a Tony Pike/Brian Kelly combo in Buffalo next year. Big arm QB and gutsy, smart, vocal HC.
  20. That IS the reality of the NFL. It makes no sense to finish 7-9 year after year. You never get to re-build with the really great players (not that our stunned bunch would know one if they had the chance). The only caveat would be winning behind some young guy's sudden step-up, say like Hardy or Johnson going crazy and catching TD passes every game until season end, or Maybin, Harris or Byrd stepping up and making big plays. Otherwise, watching Fitzgerald throw a winning TD to TO would put me to sleep. So, it's kind of HOW they win or lose from here out.
  21. Is he the worst? Well, he's on the worst run defense in the league and he's the MLB. One small qualifyer: we have NO linebackers, none, zilch. We need several real studs next year, whether we draft them high or sign the best free agents. Poz can be a back-up, which is where he belongs.
  22. Evans gets a free ride every year. We blame the QB, the Oline, the OC, we say he doesn't have a 2nd receiver to help him get open, then we get TO and the guy still isn't open. Last night's game was a perfect example. The Jets coaches had a decision to make about which WR to put Revis on. They put him on every #1 receiver because he's so damn good. They picked TO, not Evans. And they were right, Revis shut down Owens and Lito Goddam Shepherd was left to cover Evans...single coverage all night. You saw what Evans did...one good catch. $9 million for this. What's the excuse this time? We are going to have to draft some WRs in April on top of all the other problems. Couldn't we at least see what Hardy and Johnson can do first? Sorry for the rant, but Evans really pisses me off.
  23. Sorry, meant to type Josh R.
  24. I guess, with TO wasting everybody's time in there, we are not going to get any sense of how good/bad our second round WR pick from last year is. Fr G's sake, put him in. Johnson too, cause I think John R is just about done.
