  1. I'm surprised Calloway got cut, especially this early. It sounded like he was doing well in camp and could add depth at G and T. Chambers sucks. I pray they can find someone on the scrap heap to replace him.
  2. So they think so highly of him that they don't even want to give him practice reps? Are they afraid that Belichick might be secretly taping their closed practices? Seriously? Brown was a 7th rd draft pick for a reason. He has some potential, but he is years away from being ready to play. He will be cut and placed on the practice squad. No team in the NFL is going to "steal" him and keep him on the active roster.
  3. If they like Levi so much, why aren't they giving him more practice reps and game time? I really don't think he will be on the roster. He will be on the PS
  4. Detroit went 4-0 in the preseason the year they went 0-16 when the games meant something.
  5. The people who are "100% Agree"ing with this load of crap are probably the same morons who were saying that they would not trade Trent Edwards for Peyton Manning in 2008. This is a complete overreaction. Chan sounds good so far and is undoubtedly better than DJ. But lets wait until they play a few games before preparing his bust for Canton. Time will tell how good of a coach Chan is. History has shown that the best coaches in the NFL are those that are lucky enough to get handed a franchise QB early in their tenure. I don't think we have that right now, but we'll see. Let's just chill out and watch a few games before we get too excited. GO BILLS!
  6. Sanchez and Stafford did have very simuilar stats last yr Qb Rating Stafford 61 Sanchez 63 TD passes Stafford 13 (plus 2 rushing) Sanchez 12 (plus 3 rushing) Both had 20 INTS Both had a 53% completion percentage. Not much difference besides the fact that Sanchez benefited from playing on a good team and Stafford takes the heat for playing on a crappy one.
  7. Maybe if Seattle trades for Leinart, we can get that Losman kid. He seems to be playing well in the preseason. Only kidding.
  8. Sec 315 Row 1 Tailgating in Drive 5 with a crew. I always look forward to the opener, even though my expectations for the year are pretty low. I love that the season open is at home vs Miami.
  9. No. Its not garbled at all. He is not saying the taunts are justified and he is not saying that they are completely unjustified either. He clearly expressed that the taunts are somewhat justified. And by the way, who cares? I think this is clearly a statement of just how bad our team is. Rather than discussing the team, it's players or their prospects for the upcoming seasons. We are here arguing over the grammatical correctness of an editorial piece by a washed up columnist working for an obsolete and nearly extinct news organization.
  10. It isn't a double negative at all. The Not is referring to "totally" It is not referring to "unjustified" saying that they are "not unjustified" would be a double negative. Saying that they are "not totally unjustified" is simply a qualifier for the amount to which they are unjustified.
  11. Lots of guys look good in preseason and/or college.
  12. But isn't also a little silly to suggest trading a back who has actually had some success in the league in favor of keeping a preseason superstar who hasn't done anything yet? I remember this same discussion last year about Bruce Hall.
  13. Every year we have a running back in camp who is tearing it up and people are proclaiming him the next Walter Payton. Then he gets cut and a bunch of people flip out. Then time goes by and the guy disappears into oblivion and is never heard from again.
  14. I am the first one out of my seat cheering when he plays well. It just doesn't happen enough for my liking and I don't have much hope he will improve. I hope he does, but it would definitely surprise me. As someone else posted, whenever I say something negative about Trent, it is in response to someone else who is over effusive with undeserved praise for him.
  15. I find this funny. Chan seems like a good ol' boy. Probably know alot about football but at this point he has proven himself to be a mediocre NFL Headcoach, at best. He may go on to have great success here. You never know. But so far, that remains to be seen. His tougher training camp sure hasn't seemed to bring down the number of injuries. He's a marginally better HC than Jauron with basically the same roster. I don't think it is unrealistic to expect basically the same result. Unless I am missing something. Please let me know what Gailey has done in the offseason and preseason to win you over.
  16. Well, there is a waste of a perfectly good football. Just kidding. Good for her. Thats really what training camp is for. I am taking my 8yr old son to the game on Sat. He's excited. He likes Spiller and Marshawn.
  17. I would not personally go to practice and boo. And I would imagine that for the teenagers who were harrassing Trent, it had little to do with his specific performance in that day's practice but more to do with his overall lack of QB talent and the fan's frustration that Trent is atop the depth chart at QB. He is more than anything, a symbol of how bad the Bills QB situation is and the fans are lashing out at him. That is really my point. I am not really defending the behavior of these teenagers. I am more so criticizing Chan for feeling it necessary to address it. The point that Trent sucks and deserves to be heckled and criticized is beside the point.
  18. But, here's the thing, we don't have to like it. Yes, Trent is currently the QB. But he sucks and I don't like it. I will let express my dislike for him every chance I get. That does not diminish the fact that I am a diehard Bills fan. I love the team and want them to be successful. I really don't like Trent Edwards and wish he were not on my team. I am rooting for him to be successful and will cheer when he does something well, but I will also boo at him and complain about him when he does something bad.
  19. I completely disagree with the part in Bold. It has been documented that players on the team are not behind Trent. Lee Evsns for one. Chan babying Trent could backfire in the lockerroom and undermine what little credibility Trent has. This is not a good situation, no matter how you try to spin it. Chan has not earned the right to go after the fans regardless of his 'show me the baby' lipservice. He's accomplished nothing. Until he does. He should be careful not to bite the hand that feeds him. Polian has built up some credibility before his "get out of town" rant. and BTW, look how that ended, with Polian out of town. He's on the coldest hot seat because noone else wants the job
  20. You're probably right. Trent is really good in practice. It's just in the regular season games that he sucks. Maybe I will wait til the season opener to boo him. He'll probably be injured by then, so I can save my voice.
  21. My point is that Chan should be focusing on turning Trent into something other than a crappy QB or finding a suitable replacement rather than lashing out at the fans. The timing of this episode just gives me the feeling than Chan is feeling the heat. None of his QBs are performing well enough. I still think putting Trent at the top of the pecking order was a stunt intended up pushing the other 2 to perform better. I don't honestly believe that a man who has been around professional football as long as Gailey can honestly believe Trent is a viable NFL starter. The problem is that his bluff failed. Now he is stuck with Trent and he is cracking under the pressure. I promise you I will be heckling Trent on Saturday if he performs poorly just as I will cheer for him in the unlikely event that he does something exciting. He had a decent game last week, lets hope he keeps it up. If he doesn't, he's going to hear it and so will Chan.
  22. On second thought, maybe Chan is right. The nasty old fans should not say anything bad about little Trent. They'll hurt his feelings. I heard the NFL was instituting rule changes this year to help with this. We don't want anyone feeling bad so they won't be keeping score in any of the games and at the end of the season, everyone gets a trophy. What a Joke. Suck it up, Trent. What's next: Is you Mom going to run out on the field to protect you?
